In my dream I had to pick four spelling for four girls (not my daughters, random girls, but I did have dreams of future children and their names before too but they were different) and I picked Kayleigh, Kayley, Kaley and Caley. Then I needed to pick another one and chose Kaylie.
Which is odd because I never really liked the spelling Kaylie before. But now it has sort of grown on me.
So I was wondering:
What is your favorite way to spell kay-lee?
Which is the most common spelling in your area?
Which one of these spelling would you pick and why? Kayleigh, Kayley, Kaley, Caley, Kaylie?
Iād probably spell it Kaylee? I donāt usually like -lee spellings but that was the first one that came to mind! However, my actual favourite spelling is Ceilidh.
Out of your list, my favourite is Kayley. I donāt like Kayleigh because -eigh endings look too busy to me and hard to work with abroad, Kaley reminds me of kale and Caley might get mispronounced. Kaylie is my second favourite but when I first saw it I misread it as Kylie, so thatās why I like Kayley more!
it would be kayley ! it feels the most intuitive for the kay-lee sound and i like the two āyā look aesthetically. i also love ceili for this fantasy, mysterious character in a storybook vibe it has
i wouldnāt know iāve never met one where i live
i like kayley and kaylie the most
i find it quite nice ! itās a very summer name to me, reminds me of neon colours, drinking cocktails on vacation and late night parties also, it feels more āfeminineā than the other spellings, if thatās something youād prefer
Okay, I genuinely donāt know - and itās one of my problems with the name - I like the sound but I can never decide about a spelling. That said, maybe [name_f]Ceilidh[/name_f] or [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f]?
2. Which is the most common spelling in your area?
Iāve only ever encountered three kay-lees, but two of them were spelled [name_f]Kayleigh[/name_f], so maybe that? It doesnāt rank currently in the UK top 500 though (the other was a [name_f]Caileigh[/name_f], if youāre interested)
3. Which one of these spelling would you pick and why? [name_f]Kayleigh[/name_f], [name_f]Kayley[/name_f], [name_f]Kaley[/name_f], [name_u]Caley[/name_u], [name_f]Kaylie[/name_f]?
I think [name_f]Kayleigh[/name_f] - as I say, itās the one Iāve encountered more than once and looks complete?
I like [name_f]Kaley[/name_f] best!!! In theory i love [name_u]Caley[/name_u], but iād probably pronounce it like [name_f]Callie[/name_f] because thereās a shop round the corner where i live called [name_u]Caley[/name_u] and itās prn like that
[name_f]Cailey[/name_f] is my favorite.
Feels sooo sweet and warm! Itās always reminded me of calico, based on the spelling. I adored the word ācalicoā and its print as a little child!
As for whatās common⦠Iāve met a [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f], two [name_f]Cailey[/name_f], [name_f]Kaylie[/name_f], and [name_u]Keily[/name_u]. Never the same twice, aside from the [name_f]Cailey[/name_f] girls!
i donāt know the most common spellings, iāve never met one that wasnāt that one girl in elementary school i named kayle pronounced kaylie or my cousin kaylie (which even that might not be spelled the same)
kaylie
it reminds me of my cousin, she does/did diving and so tall towers and deep pools and summer n stuff
[name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] is the most intuitive for me.
2. Which is the most common spelling in your area?
[name_f]Kailey[/name_f], [name_f]Kaylie[/name_f], or [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f]
3. Which one of these spelling would you pick and why? [name_f]Kayleigh[/name_f], [name_f]Kayley[/name_f], [name_f]Kaley[/name_f], [name_u]Caley[/name_u], [name_f]Kaylie[/name_f]?
[name_f]Kaylie[/name_f]- itās the most intuitive and simple.
