Keep? Toss?

We are throwing name ideas around while ttc. any thoughts on [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Solene[/name_f]? I love it, SO is on the fence about [name_f]Solene[/name_f].

What about [name_f]Salina[/name_f]?

I don’t love the “SO” repetition, since that’s such a distinctive part of both names. The suggestion of [name_f]Salina[/name_f] is nice, or else maybe [name_f]Selene[/name_f]/[name_f]Selena[/name_f]/[name_f]Serene[/name_f]/[name_f]Serena[/name_f]?

[name_m]How[/name_m] are you pronouncing [name_f]Solene[/name_f]? In my head it is sol-ENN which could be completely wrong. But I love the sound of [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Solene[/name_f] (pronounced like that). I also like [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Solene[/name_f] (sol-EEN) but not quite as much. [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] is my absolute favorite spelling of the variants! I definitely think you are on a great track!

Keep!! I think its gorgeous. Both the sol-EEN and sol-ENN pronunciations sound lovely with [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]. If your SO isn’t quite certain about [name_f]Solene[/name_f], and you’re pronouncing it sol-EEN, I second lwj1986’s suggestions:

I like [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Solene[/name_f] a lot, it opens up the possibility of So-so being a nickname.

I prefer the [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] spelling. I don’t like Solane

Thank you all! Pronounaction would be sol-ENN. the longer it’s sitting for SO, the more he’s starting to like it. [name_u]Win[/name_u]!
