We have a [name_u]Liam[/name_u], [name_u]Haydn[/name_u], [name_u]Declan[/name_u] and [name_m]Kellan[/name_m].
We obviously like names that are Irish and end with the “an” sound.
We love [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] for this baby boy, but is it because [name_m]Kellan[/name_m] and [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] sound to similar?
(We have also considered [name_u]Landon[/name_u] an Finn)
I would personally say [name_m]Kellen[/name_m] and [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] are too similar. I love [name_u]Landon[/name_u]! [name_u]Or[/name_u] if you like the nickname [name_m]Fin[/name_m] you could go with [name_m]Finnian[/name_m] which still has that ending sound you’re looking for. Here are some other -an sound ending names (although I don’t know if any of these have any Irish background or not so if that’s important you’d have to check):
[name_u]Aspen[/name_u]
[name_u]Arden[/name_u]
[name_m]Caden[/name_m]
[name_m]Calvin[/name_m]
[name_u]Rodin[/name_u] / [name_m]Ronin[/name_m]
[name_u]Payton[/name_u]
[name_u]Rylan[/name_u]
I also agree that they are a bit too similar, but both great names! There are some good ones suggested above, I would also throw [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] into the mix!
Yes I think [name_m]Kellan[/name_m] and [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] are too similar. If you wanted to use that name with a different spelling you could use [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m]. Between [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and [name_u]Landon[/name_u] I would use [name_u]Finn[/name_u] since [name_u]Landon[/name_u] sounds similar to [name_u]Liam[/name_u] and [name_u]Hayden[/name_u].
