Wanted to get your opinion on a name: [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] flows beautifully with our last name, but DH said it reminds him of [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] Jenner and doesn’t want to use a Kardashian name.
If you met a little [name_u]Kendall[/name_u], would you think of KUWTK? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it’s still usable?
I probably wouldn’t think of the Kardashians, but then that might be because I’ve never watched them? I think it’s a nice name though- I like the sounds of it
[name_u]Kendall[/name_u] is lovely! I guess one of the most famous Kendalls is [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] Jenner, but [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] is such a widespread name that it’s not an overwhelming association in my opinion.
To be honest, my association with [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] is [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] Vertes from Dance Moms, and I would think of her before I thought of [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] Jenner (I was a competitive dancer when I was younger though so that might explain it). Most people probably don’t think the same way.
I like [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] a lot! It definitely has the Jenner association but it’s not a reason not to use it, imo.
[name_u]Kendall[/name_u] isn’t so unique that there is only [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] Karadashian with the name so I wouldn’t worry about it. I have an acquaintance named [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] so I thought of her. It is a lovely name and I wouldn’t hesitate to use it. If you had said you were considering [name_u]North[/name_u] that would be different, but [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] is definitely useable.
I’m not fond of the name [name_u]Kendall[/name_u]. I always think “[name_m]Ken[/name_m] doll” and the Kardashian association which is a definite no-no for me.
I would think of [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] Jenner, but I’ve never met any other [name_u]Kendall[/name_u]. If anything, if I saw the name written down first, I might assume she was a boy? I don’t think either of those things make it an objectively bad or unusable name though.
I don’t watch KUWTK, and don’t follow them, but when I think [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] I do automatically think of [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] Jenner and would assume if I met a little girl she was named after her.
The only [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] I’ve ever actually known though was a middle aged man.
I don’t think I’d associate it with that family quite like I would [name_f]Kourtney[/name_f] with that spelling. If that makes any sense. I feel like it’s a nice name, kind of a prep school WASPy vibe to it maybe but definitely not unusable for the sake of [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] Jenner.
I don’t associate [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] with the Kardashians but that’s because I don’t watch them. I didn’t even know there was a [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] Jenner. I know of two Kendalls from social media, the Dance Moms star, [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] Vertes and the [name_m]Wilkinson[/name_m] Quintuplets, [name_f]Kyndall[/name_f]. I think the name [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] is gorgeous and it’s so underused which is always a bonus. I thought of [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] Vertes before I thought of the Kardashian but I was also a dancer when I was younger.
First association would probably be [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] wines (not sure if that’s correct spelling… or what that says about me exactly… but I wouldn’t first think of Kardashians)
