I wouldn’t assume her name is [name_f]Kenna[/name_f]. But I prefer [name_f]McKenna[/name_f]. It sounds like a full name instead of just a nickname. [name_f]Kenna[/name_f] to me sounds incomplete.
I’d go for [name_f]McKenna[/name_f] because it’s familiar to me. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though I’ve only come across [name_f]McKenna[/name_f] as a surname I wouldn’t be surprised to hear it as a first name. [name_f]Kenna[/name_f] on the other hand, I’ve never heard as stand alone name. I guess I’m not really feeling it. I might be because [name_f]Kenna[/name_f] has a very short sound having two short vowels.
If someone introduced herself as [name_f]Kenna[/name_f], I would assume her real name was [name_f]Kenna[/name_f]. I think it is a beautiful name. [name_f]Kenna[/name_f] can stand in its own.
I think the names containing “Mc/[name_m]Mac[/name_m]” are starting to sound a little dated nowadays ([name_f]McKenna[/name_f], Mackenzie, [name_f]Mckayla[/name_f],…). [name_f]Kenna[/name_f] is a beautiful alternative! It’s sweet, modern and fresh. In my opinion, a lovely choice for a girl.
I wouldn’t assume [name_f]Kenna[/name_f] was short for anything, no. I do prefer [name_f]Kenna[/name_f] to [name_f]McKenna[/name_f], as it’s a lot less trendy/tryndee.
[name_f]Kenna[/name_f] is really pretty and I much prefer it over [name_f]McKenna[/name_f]. However, I do find it nickname-y and would probably wonder if (though not assume) it is short for [name_f]McKenna[/name_f], McKenzie, or [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u].
I think [name_f]McKenna[/name_f] has a such a different feel than [name_f]Kenna[/name_f]. Most of the McKennas I know are in their early 20s, so for a child born now, I would find it a little dated. [name_f]Kenna[/name_f] also just feels lighter, more streamlined and not as harsh. So I would go with just [name_f]Kenna[/name_f].
I actually knew a [name_f]Kenna[/name_f] (it might have been spelled Kennah), but it wasn’t short for anything and I never assumed it was. My vote is for [name_f]Kenna[/name_f]! I also don’t like Mc names, they tend to sound perpetually young and trendy imo
I definitely prefer [name_f]Kenna[/name_f] – I’m not a fan of the ‘Mc’ name trend. I wouldn’t think [name_f]Kenna[/name_f] was really called [name_f]McKenna[/name_f] at all.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think Kienna could be an alternative to [name_f]Kenna[/name_f]? Kienna like [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] but with a K or is it weird?
