Keturah , Kelila?

[name]Ive[/name] posted about some other names I am considering for our 3rd baby, but none of them seem right.

I already have [name]Eliana[/name] and [name]Noah[/name]

I keep skimming over [name]Keturah[/name] and I think it looks so pretty but not sure of the sound. I will put our list below and am wondering if anyone else like [name]Keturah[/name] or [name]Kelila[/name]

[name]Keturah[/name]-have no idea what middle name or if there are any nicknames-I like [name]Kerah[/name] (Kare-uh)does this work, I have always love [name]Kara[/name] but need a hebrew name -would it even need a nickname?

[name]Kelila[/name]-I think its interesting, dont like nickname [name]Lila[/name] with [name]Leela[/name] pronunciation. I love [name]Lila[/name] with Lie-lah but think thats incorrect has Kill sound that kind of puts me

[name]Maya[/name]- I am starting to love it but maybe wanting something a bit more unique, love saying it though

[name]Seraphina[/name] -as pretty as this is I am worried it will be perceived as trendy or overly flowery

[name]Liora[/name]-on of dads favorites I am starting to like [name]Leorah[/name] spelling better

[name]Talia[/name] - kind of falling out of love with this

[name]Arya[/name]/[name]Aria[/name]-pretty but I think will be too popular

So right now my tops are [name]Maya[/name] and [name]Keturah[/name]

[name]Keturah[/name] is gorgeous! She does sound a little harsh next to [name]Noah[/name] and [name]Eliana[/name] because of the first sound, but the following sounds soften her out. So it is really not much of a problem.

[name]Kelila[/name]-it’s pretty but it shares a similar sound with [name]Eliana[/name], so I’m not sure

[name]Maya[/name]-Beautiful, you can always use a more unique name in the middle spot though.

[name]Seraphina[/name]-[name]Eliana[/name] is a little frilly so it isn’t much of a problem, it is a bit trendy I see it going up in the popularity charts but I doubt it would become a fad.

[name]Liora[/name]-I love this, beautiful name though I prefer this spelling. It feels more streamlined and European.

[name]Talia[/name]-[name]Lovely[/name]

[name]Arya[/name]/[name]Aria[/name]-Also pretty, but I don’t see it standing out alongside [name]Eliana[/name] and [name]Noah[/name].

Overall I love all the names you are considering, though my favourites are [name]Liora[/name], [name]Keturah[/name] and [name]Maya[/name].

I love [name]Liora[/name] best, but my favourite spelling splits the difference - [name]Leora[/name]. It’s fallen out of favour compared to [name]Liora[/name], but its fairly phonetic in English, and less fussy and embellished than [name]Leorah[/name], which I don’t much like.

[name]Keturah[/name] is okay. Best nickname is [name]Kitty[/name]. I would prefer [name]Kelilah[/name] or [name]Kezia[/name]/Ketsia though. (And I’d call a Ketsia, [name]Kitty[/name] too! lol)

[name]Kelilah[/name] is keh-lee-la or ka-lee-la. The best nickname for it is a quite old one, but a lot of people now think its kreative: [name]Kaila[/name]/[name]Kayla[/name]. Popularity is its only downfall. [name]Kay[/name] might be better nowadays, and it has a soft retro sound that fits in well with more popular [name]Mae[/name]. Or there’s [name]Kelly[/name] but I can’t quite wrap my mind around [name]Kelly[/name] yet. (I’m an '80s baby!)

[name]Talia[/name] is pretty but some people will try to turn it into 3 syllables. :frowning: I also love [name]Tamar[/name] but some people find it harsh.

[name]Seraphina[/name] is pretty but I think I like the rarer [name]Sarita[/name] or [name]Sarina[/name] more.

[name]Aria[/name] is too trendy for me.

I like [name]Maya[/name] and [name]Talia[/name] best.
What about Aiviva or [name]Orli[/name]/[name]Orly[/name]?

I’ll cast a strong vote for [name]Keturah[/name]. [name]One[/name] of the all-time most wonderful underused Biblical names, it seems perfect for you and much better than any of the alternatives! [name]Maya[/name] is a lovely name but imo so much more ordinary.

I agree with [name]Pam[/name], [name]Keturah[/name] is stunning and so underused! I also like [name]Liora[/name], but spelled this way, and [name]Kelila[/name] is lovely too (pronounced Kah-lee-lah). [name]Maya[/name] is very very cute ( I know one spelled [name]Maja[/name] and she’s the sweetest girl ever).

I’d go [name]Keturah[/name] over [name]Maya[/name] but not over [name]Liora[/name], [name]Kelilah[/name], or [name]Talia[/name].

I like [name]Kelilah[/name], and [name]Kaila[/name] is a legit nn- one of the few Yiddish names that i love actually.

If you like [name]Maya[/name] and [name]Talia[/name], what about Meytal/Meital/Maytal (lots of spellings to choose from!), or Maayan?

[name]Moriah[/name], [name]Keren[/name], [name]Ariella[/name], [name]Adira[/name], [name]Simona[/name], [name]Sarit[/name], [name]Sarai[/name], or [name]Yardena[/name]/[name]Jordana[/name] might also fit your taste.

[name]Keturah[/name] is beautiful!
