We are expecting our second baby, but we’re keeping the gender a surprise, and we can’t find anything that we are really falling in love with! We have one daughter named [name_f]Keziah[/name_f] and love how unique her name is (at least where we live).
DH and I have agreed we don’t want another K name and have also agreed on middle names: [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] for a boy and [name_f]Nathalie[/name_f] for a girl. Please help us!
That’s a hard one! What are some of the names you are considering?
I honestly can’t think of a sister name for [name_f]Keziah[/name_f] but what about [name_m]Jonah[/name_m] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] for her brother?
We didn’t have any names we are considering because we couldn’t find anything we like! DH and I like [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] (but concerned about negative connection with the name in the Bible), [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f], [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] (but concerned about the flow of [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]), and [name_m]Levi[/name_m]!
I think [name_m]Levi[/name_m] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] is definitely my favourite. I know a little 4 yr old named [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], she’s wonderful I know the name’s quite popular in some places, so that negative connection mightn’t be as strong, depending on where you live and how religious you happen to be.
DH’s family is pretty religious which makes me a bit nervous but I don’t think it would be a big deal where we live since “[name_f]Lilah[/name_f]” has becoming more popular. It’s mainly his family that I’m concerned about bringing up the connection. It wouldn’t end well for me LOL!
I’ll try to help you out! [name_f]Keziah[/name_f] is a very unique name, but it’s kind of hard to pinpoint your style… [name_f]Do[/name_f] any of these suit your fancy?
I love the story behind the name [name_f]Talitha[/name_f]. Taken from Behind the Name:
Means “little girl” in Aramaic. The name is taken from the phrase talitha cumi meaning “little girl arise” spoken by [name_m]Jesus[/name_m] in order to restore a young girl to life (see [name_m]Mark[/name_m] 5:41).
Since you seem to be looking for Biblical names and you like [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] (which I love!), I thought it might be a good fit.
I really like [name_m]Gideon[/name_m]! I think the flow with [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] is fine, even though they’re both three syllables and both end in N. It doesn’t sound off to me. I feel like that’s the sort of thing most people who aren’t name nerds would never notice anyway, and it would be a shame to toss out a name as nice as [name_m]Gideon[/name_m].
[name_m]Adlai[/name_m]
[name_m]Nehemiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Elam[/name_m] (ee-lum, like [name_m]Liam[/name_m] with the first two sounds switched around.)
[name_m]Gilead[/name_m]
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]
[name_m]Leon[/name_m]
[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m]
[name_u]Elias[/name_u]
[name_m]Archer[/name_m]
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m]
[name_u]Asa[/name_u]
I like [name_f]Tirzah[/name_f], [name_u]Jude[/name_u], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Odessa[/name_f], [name_f]Zipporah[/name_f], [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] (still apprehensive), and [name_m]Ezra[/name_m]! [name_m]Just[/name_m] realized it may be helpful to know [name_f]Keziah[/name_f]'s middle name? Her full name is [name_f]Keziah[/name_f] [name_f]Tamar[/name_f]!
I’m sorry I’m so slow with responding to all of your great help! Not only am I new here but our computer isn’t liking me today
I missed [name_f]Sarai[/name_f] before but I really like that! I also like [name_f]Talitha[/name_f], [name_f]Tirzah[/name_f], [name_f]Zipporah[/name_f], [name_f]Paloma[/name_f], [name_f]Aviva[/name_f], [name_u]Elias[/name_u], [name_m]Archer[/name_m], [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], and [name_u]Asa[/name_u]! I like [name_f]Tamar[/name_f] as well but since that’s [name_f]Keziah[/name_f]'s middle name, it may not be the best to use
I’m really starting to fall in love with [name_f]Talitha[/name_f] (along with a few others)! My one concern with [name_f]Talitha[/name_f] is that people may think it’s [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] rather than [name_f]Talitha[/name_f]?
