Kieran

Opinions on the name [name]Kieran[/name]??? I am of Irish decent and love Gaelic/Irish names…however a few are definately out due to the insane popularity today ( think [name]Aidan[/name], [name]Liam[/name], [name]Declan[/name]). [name]Kieran[/name] is an Irish saints name (originally [name]Ciaran[/name]) that I don’t seem to hear very often. I am wondering if people think it sounds too close to the feminine [name]Karen[/name]??

I have loved this name for YEARS and if it didn’t rhyme with my last name, it would be on my list!! I like that it’s not too common but easy to pronouce. [name]MacCauley[/name] (sp?) Caulkin has a brother [name]Kieran[/name] Caulkin, that is the only [name]Kieran[/name] I have ever heard of.

i love it! not too close to karen at all

I really like [name]Kieran[/name]! I don’t think it’s too close to [name]Karen[/name] at all. I’ve only ever know of one person named [name]Kieran[/name], and he is about 4 years old. Very handsome name!

I also like this name. I used to work with a guy who had this name, although he spelled it [name]Ciaran[/name], which I think invited a lot more pn issues.
I wouldn’t think too many people would think your son’s name was [name]Karen[/name] either.

I [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Kieran[/name], and I don’t think it will be mistaken for [name]Karen[/name]. It fits in with the current trends while still being fresh
