I quite like the name [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Verity[/name_f]. It comes across as really charming to me, but I’ve gotten a few comments about it being too stuffy.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the combo!

I don’t find it stuffy. I thinks it vintage and cute. [name_f]Esther[/name_f] is very sweet, and [name_f]Verity[/name_f] flows nicely in the middle. I think [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Verity[/name_f] is very pretty.
I dig it. Sounds nice.
I think [name_f]Esther[/name_f] is only for the most daring parents these days, and name nerds. It’s ripe for a comeback, I’ve seen it out in the blogsphere, but I’m not surprised it gets a cool reception from the mainstream. It’s slightly lispy, that might be part of it. But [name_f]Essie[/name_f] is super cute. If you’re thinking as a sister for your [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f], I can see why people you know might be surprised. [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] is much more familiar and used these days. And [name_f]Hope[/name_f] is so friendly. [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Verity[/name_f] in contrast is kick-ass. I’d expect [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]'s sister to be [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] or [name_f]Elise[/name_f]. I’d expect [name_f]Esther[/name_f]'s big sister to be [name_f]Joy[/name_f] or [name_u]Joyce[/name_u] or [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f].
That all being said, if you love, use it and people will come around. My girls have names that ‘match’ in a few ways, but at first glance one is mainstream familiar, almost too popular for my taste, and the other is dusty and unlikely to become common. if you love both names, that’s all they need to have in common.
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Verity[/name_f] is quite lovely! Go for it if you love it…
I like [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Verity[/name_f],and I don’t find it stuffy, but I do not like it as a sister name to [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f].
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Esther[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_f]Esther[/name_f]
I don’t like either name, but it isn’t stuffy. It just feels dusty, like a classical book on a shelf that hasn’t been read in years. On the verge of a comeback, but not quite there.
I think it’s really lovely.
Not stuffy at all.
I don’t necessarily think it’s stuffy, but I don’t think it goes well with your other name. To me, the name [name_f]Esther[/name_f] is making a comeback but it’s not popular anymore/yet. I haven’t met any children or younger adults named [name_f]Esther[/name_f]. (Although I’m sure some are.) [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] is a semi-popular name, so the two don’t go very well together.
I think it’s a lovely combo, and I can definitely see the charm you’re referring to. And Although I agree with previous posters that [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] and [name_f]Esther[/name_f] are quite different, I don’t think they couldn’t work in a sibset.
I agree with previous posters that it doesn’t really work with your daughter’s name, so that might throw people off when they hear it. The combo itself comes across with a strong Puritan vibe for me, which others may read as stuffy, since the Puritans weren’t the most open-minded lot. What matters is whether you love the name; if you do, don’t worry about what others think.
I think the [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Verity[/name_f] is darling.
