What do you think of the name [name_m]Kitto[/name_m]? With the nn [name_u]Kit[/name_u]?
I know it’s unusual but I like its Cornish roots (we are based very close) and for some reason I really love the idea of [name_m]Kitto[/name_m] and [name_m]Fergus[/name_m], [name_u]Kit[/name_u] & [name_u]Fergie[/name_u]!
It’s ok, but if an American says it it’s gonna sound more like “kiddo”
I really like [name_m]Kitto[/name_m]! I absolutely adore [name_u]Kit[/name_u] and -o endings, so [name_m]Kitto[/name_m] is pretty much perfect haha. Unusual, but easy to say, spell, and imo adorable for a little boy but can age well. I think [name_m]Kitto[/name_m] works nicely with [name_m]Fergus[/name_m].
I really like it. It’s unfortunate that it’s so close to “kiddo,” I didn’t think of that until I saw the above comment, but I could see that becoming a problem. I think it could still work, though.
At first glance it looked more like a nickname. It’s pretty cute though, and I’ve really been liking the nickname [name_u]Kit[/name_u] here lately. I agree with a previous poster— depending on your accent, it might come out more like “kiddo”, so that might be something to consider if you’re picky about pronunciation.
[name_m]Kitto[/name_m] is so quirky and fun.
To be honest, I’d probably just use [name_u]Kit[/name_u].
Other than that, I’d prefer something like Kaito ([name_m]Ky[/name_m]-to) nn [name_u]Kit[/name_u] - which I still think works. [name_m]Kitto[/name_m] seems a bit too much like ‘Hey there [name_u]Kit[/name_u]-oh’ than a full name. That being said, there’s nothing actually wrong with [name_m]Kitto[/name_m].
No, I don’t think so. It sounds like a cartoon cat. I think just [name_u]Kit[/name_u] is much better!
I love Cornish names, and I think [name_m]Kitto[/name_m] is great! I actually call my [name_u]Kit[/name_u] [name_m]Kitto[/name_m] as a pet name quite a lot - it’s fun and jaunty and I quite like the similarity to “kiddo”. I think [name_m]Kitto[/name_m] “[name_u]Kit[/name_u]” works great too though.
[name_m]How[/name_m] do you feel about [name_m]Kester[/name_m], another regional form of [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] (Scottish)? I’ve always thought [name_m]Kester[/name_m] “[name_u]Kit[/name_u]” would be very handsome. Kes is also cool.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] go with [name_u]Kit[/name_u].
It’s okay but I think [name_u]Kit[/name_u] can stand alone.
[name_m]Kitto[/name_m] is a lovely name! I do believe that [name_u]Kit[/name_u] is enough and finished as it is, however I believe that [name_m]Kitto[/name_m] and [name_m]Fergus[/name_m] is a lovely set of names. I agree with some of the comments prior, depending on your accent it can sound like ‘kiddo’ which is probably the only downside to the name. Overall, lovely name!
