A very belated thank you to all those who replied! Sorry this is coming in so late, I read all the responses but didn’t have enough time to make commentary until now.
I’m really pleased to see so much help for [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] I was afraid it might not garner much attention.
@mousehouse7, I do like [name_f]Ottilia[/name_f] quite a bit! I find it more natural to say than [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] and [name_f]Ottoline[/name_f]. [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] as a nickname is adorable! My SO is actually quite receptive to unintuitive nicknames, which is nice, because they’re usually my preferred nn options.
I really like [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f], too! [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f] is one of my favourite names.
@emersonwildwood, [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] is a name my SO adores… I think I may have a shot with one of these combos. I love [name_f]Opal[/name_f], too, just as much as [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f].
@ribbons-and-soldiers, I saw [name_f]Adele[/name_f] in your signature before I read your reply, and it stood out to me. [name_f]Adele[/name_f] is actually my aunt’s name, and I think it’s gorgeous. [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] [name_f]Heloise[/name_f] was an eye-catcher to me, too! I love alliteration, and I think this is adorable.
@ashleyjuliette, I’m not one for 2 middle names, but some of these really work! I really like [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]/ [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] (I know my SO really likes [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]), [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] [name_u]Arden[/name_u] (love all 3 names!), [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] [name_f]Opal[/name_f] ([name_u]LOVE[/name_u]!)
@ciottolo, I like the vibe you have going on in this list, it definitely suits my style! My favourites are [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] (I would love to use [name_f]Cosima[/name_f], but my SO isn’t a fan sigh), and [name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] (why do I never think of [name_f]Thora[/name_f]?!)
@orangecatcamo, [name_f]Zenobia[/name_f] is actually on our list already, and I never thought to pair it with [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f]. I can’t quite figure out of the TH Z/S sound is too hard to say back-to-back, but I’m glad the style seems to work together.
Ohh, [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] [name_f]Delia[/name_f] and [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] stand out to me; I’ve been thinking of [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] a lot lately.
@anatoliabrooke, [name_f]Minnie[/name_f] is really cute! It’s so innocent, and in the middle I don’t feel like it’s too loaded. We love [name_f]Minerva[/name_f]… [name_f]Minerva[/name_f] [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] nn [name_f]Minnie[/name_f] is springing to mind now, and I never would have thought of [name_f]Minnie[/name_f] being a pick I would make. Great suggestion!
@ruolan, [name_f]Hana[/name_f] is really sweet as a nickname. One of my favourite books is The English Patient, so I like that tie. [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] [name_f]Fairuza[/name_f] is definitely unexpected but I think they go great together. I love [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] as well.
@saracita00, [name_f]Una[/name_f] [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] is cute! [name_f]Una[/name_f] is very wordy, but [name_f]Oona[/name_f] [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] works just as well, very spunky. I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Jemima[/name_f]! I would use it for sure, but my SO doesn’t like it at all. [name_f]Adelie[/name_f] is really sweet, and I’ve never heard it before, which is sometimes a plus for me, since I feel like that doesn’t happen much anymore.
@kittykilbride, I love [name_f]Ottoline[/name_f], [name_f]Cosima[/name_f], and [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f], so you nailed my style perfectly! I really like your suggestion of [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f], and think [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] sounds great. Gah, I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Maud[/name_f]! [name_f]Maud[/name_f], [name_f]Mauve[/name_f], and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] are on our list. [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] [name_f]Maud[/name_f] is wonderful.
Thanks again everyone! I really appreciate all your time and effort, and I’m really pumped to have some awesome [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] combos to think over, and try to slowly work my SO in to liking
The final [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] list is looking like:
[name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] [name_f]Maud[/name_f]
[name_f]Oona[/name_f] [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f]
[name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] [name_f]Amparo[/name_f] ([name_f]Paloma[/name_f]-> [name_f]Amparo[/name_f], [name_f]Amparo[/name_f] being a name very near and dear to my heart, and I never would have thought to put it with [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] since they’re both word names, but I love this)
[name_f]Minerva[/name_f] [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f]
[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f]
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f]
[name_f]Olympia[/name_f] [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] [name_u]Arden[/name_u]
[name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] [name_f]Heloise[/name_f]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f]
[name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f]
