I love the nn [name]Cody[/name] for a boy or a dog…and would maybe consider it for a girl with the right first name. But Kodi/[name]Kody[/name] both look horribly misspelled and made-up to me. Sorry!

I’m going to disagree with everyone above, and say that I like it. It doesn’t make me think of a medication or anything, and Kodi’s cute.
I came here to post that it sounded like a combination of Codeine and Ketamine, and was amused to see so many others thought the same…a good name for a cold medicine, perhaps, but not for a person.

I do know a girl named Kodi, though, and I’m pretty sure that’s her full name. If you want to use that, you could potentially pull that off by itself. Or something like [name]Dakota[/name] nn Kota/Koti
Kodaline is the name of an Irish band that are quickly becoming very popular both in [name]Ireland[/name] and the UK, so make of that what you will! I personally wouldn’t have got the drug connection, but even so as a name, it wouldn’t appeal to me. Other similar options that spring to mind would be [name]Coraline[/name], [name]Adaline[/name], [name]Madeline[/name] etc
I like it. I think it is cute and original, and the fact that it isn’t something I’ve ever heard before is a good thing. It’s easy to pronounce (I can really only see two possibilities there) and fairly easy to spell, too. If you like it, go for it.
I don’t have an opinion one way or another on Kodaline – it’s a little bit musical, a little bit trendy w/ “K” and -line, a little bit invented, but I’m just not a fan of the name or nn [name]Kody[/name] for a boy or girl.
