[name]How[/name] would you pronounce [name]Koen[/name]? I want the pronunciation to be ‘co-wen’ but I don’t really like spelling it [name]Cohen[/name]. Can that work?
I would pronounce it similar to “coon”, though I dislike it. The use of [name]Cohen[/name] and names that sound the same could be offensive to people of the Jewish faith, so I would suggest a different name.
[name]Owen[/name]
[name]Caleb[/name]
[name]Ewan[/name]
[name]Evan[/name]
[name]Ethan[/name]
[name]Conner[/name]
[name]Carter[/name]
[name]Cooper[/name]
I would pronounce it the same as [name]Koen[/name] and I actually don’t mind it and would slightly take away the offensiveness of [name]Cohen[/name].
I really like the name [name]Cohen[/name] and it’s one of my latest crushes. I know of 1 [name]Cohen[/name] in the UK and noone has ever questioned his name.
I know of the name so I’d easily see [name]Koen[/name] and pronounce it right HOWEVER I think a lot of people won’t. There are a lot of clueless people out there, especially when it comes to names.
If you’re looking for an alternate spelling, I prefer Cowan or [name]Coen[/name]. Adding K’s just seems a bit trendy? And I think the pronunciation is more obvious, although I knew how to pronounce [name]Koen[/name] with no hesitance.
I pronounce it the way you said. Have you considered Coven? I know a boy with that name. Cowen in cute as well.
[name]Koen[/name] (and [name]Coen[/name]) is a very common Dutch name pronounced as kOOn (#30-#40 in the popularity list).
I am biased, but that is how I would pronounce it… but I do like it!
[name]Just[/name] so you know…
