Of all the millions of beautiful, or spunky, or colorful, or refined, or daring, or interesting names you could name your daughter, why, oh why would somebody chose [name]Lincoln[/name]?? Seems like such a waste on a little girl.
My feelings exactly. Such high hopes. Oh well.
oh I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Lincoln[/name] on a girl! Never thought a celeb would use it neat.
I seriously thought the same thing. I was like oh, a boy! [name]Lincoln[/name] is not bad… But I think its kinda horrible on a girl.
[name]Abraham[/name] [name]Lincoln[/name], [name]Liberty[/name] [name]Bell[/name]. [name]How[/name] patriotic.
I like nicknames [name]Linnie[/name] or [name]Bell[/name], but being a celeb kid i think she’ll have enough style as a teen to pull this one off.
I was quite disappointed with a name choice. I really don’t get what’s with celebrities giving masculine names for their daughters.
Aww, I’m disappointed. I’m a fan of hers (love [name]Veronica[/name] [name]Mars[/name] so much I backed it on Kickstarter) and she seems like the sort of person I’d enjoy being friends with. [name]Lincoln[/name] is all boy, no question. I really like it on a boy in fact; plus [name]Linc[/name] is a very cool nn. I do like [name]Bell[/name] as a mn. Hopefully they call her [name]Bell[/name].
NOT good on a girl!!! But [name]Maxwell[/name] is worse, [name]IMO[/name].
Why oh why? Hollywood people think doing this makes them cool and unique but [name]Lincoln[/name] on a girl is neither…I find it trying [name]WAY[/name] TOO HARD to try to be different. Laaame.
If they wanted to honor the former president (and we don’t know that they did), they might have gone with [name]Abby[/name] [name]Lincoln[/name]…?
Gag! I really thought they would pick something better. I’m not a fan of the name [name]Lincoln[/name] for a boy, and on a girl it’s even worse. The best thing I can say is at least they didn’t try to make it sound more feminine and named the child Lincolyn or something…
I saw it on a girl in a movie; sisters [name]Lincoln[/name] and [name]Jefferson[/name]. I don’t mind it, it could be worse. Plus I love [name]Kristen[/name] and [name]Dax[/name], so I think [name]Baby[/name] [name]Lincoln[/name] will have enough spunk and style to carry it.
I don’t like [name]Lincoln[/name] for a girl. As awheezie said it’s kind of like [name]Jessica[/name] [name]Simpson[/name]'s [name]Maxwell[/name].
This was exactly my thought. I had to read the announcement three times to make sure they were talking about a girl. [name]Lincoln[/name], to me, is a celebrity-type name for a boy (cool, but different and out there) and something I would totally expect from a celeb. But to put it on a girl? Ugh. [name]Just[/name] screams “I’m trying to be so different that people think I’m cool” a la [name]Jessica[/name] [name]Simpson[/name]. Although I never would have thought I’d lump those two women in the same category, here we stand.
I loved [name]Kristen[/name] [name]Bell[/name] in [name]Veronica[/name] [name]Mars[/name] so much! I saw on the front page and thought that she had a boy. I will be a odd person and say that I actually love, love [name]Lincoln[/name] on a girl. So many nickname options! [name]Linc[/name], [name]Linnie[/name], Linco, [name]Coco[/name], Colnie, and Cono.
It’s not awful but [name]Lincoln[/name] is all boy to me. At least she has the MN [name]Bell[/name] to fall back on, if it comes to it.
Ugh. Why? At least they didn’t “feminize” the spelling.
I’m actually really, really loving this choice. I think [name]Lincoln[/name] [name]Bell[/name] works well for either a girl or boy and is absolutely darling.
It’s great name for a boy. For a girl, not so much.
SMH. [name]Lincoln[/name] should stay on the boy’s side. [name]Bell[/name] is cute and a nice way to honor the mom’s side of the family.
