L-eye-lah name spelling?

Most logical spelling seems like [name_f]Lyla[/name_f], but we think the “y” is too trendy. Next best seems like [name_f]Laila[/name_f] or [name_f]Lila[/name_f]. Which spelling has less confusion?
Thanks

I think [name_f]Lila[/name_f]

Laila would definitely be lay-la to me.

If you want the ly-la pronunciation I’d go with [name_f]Lilah[/name_f], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], or [name_f]Lyla[/name_f].

I think I’d go for [name_f]Laila[/name_f]. It’s slightly more aesthetically pleasing than [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] and less trendy.

Lila is 100% my favorite spelling. I would pronounce [name_f]Laila[/name_f], “[name_m]Lay[/name_m]-lah.”

Lila

I would go with [name_f]Lilah[/name_f].
It has the same end as [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] so I think people would know to pronounce the long i sound. [name_f]Lila[/name_f] works too but could be mistaken as [name_f]Leela[/name_f]. I also see [name_f]Laila[/name_f] is [name_m]Lay[/name_m]-lah. Of course, [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] works well too!

I would pronounce [name_f]Laila[/name_f] as [name_m]Lay[/name_m]-la, so that would be a no-go for me. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite way to spell Lye-la is [name_f]Lilah[/name_f]!

I love this name! [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite spelling is [name_f]Lila[/name_f], which I think would generally be pronounced the way you want. I also like [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] though, which both seem equally clear. [name_f]Laila[/name_f] is very visually appealing to me but the pronunciation seems rather ambiguous, so I’d probably skip that one if you’re going for clarity of pronunciation. Good luck!

I think [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] or [name_f]Lylah[/name_f] is the easiest to pronounce

Lila, [name_f]Laila[/name_f] is usually pronounced like [name_m]Lay[/name_m]-lah.

The only person I know who pronounces their name like that spells it [name_f]Lila[/name_f]! [name_f]Laila[/name_f] seems like it would be [name_m]Lay[/name_m]-luh to me!

Besides [name_f]Lyla[/name_f], [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] is the only one that is always l-eye-lah. [name_f]Lila[/name_f] and [name_f]Laila[/name_f] have at least two pronunciations that I’ve heard, so you’re never guaranteed others will get either of them correct. [name_f]Lilah[/name_f], though, I think would be quite safe.

I would say [name_f]Lila[/name_f]

Lila, for sure.

Lila is the only way I’ve ever seen this name spelled IRL. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite spelling is [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] though.

I know a [name_f]Lilah[/name_f], she’s never had any issues so probably a safe choice. I also know a [name_f]Laila[/name_f], she pronounces it like [name_f]Layla[/name_f]. I like the look of [name_f]Lila[/name_f], but when I first heard of it (not on a real person) I thought it was [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-lah.

Lilah would be the most logical to me. It reminds me of [name_f]Dina[/name_f] (dee-nah) versus [name_f]Dinah[/name_f] (dy-nah).

I think [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_f]Lilah[/name_f], and [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] are the most logical for that pronunciation. If you don’t like the Y, I think [name_f]Lila[/name_f] is the easiest alternative.

Laila, [name_f]Leila[/name_f], [name_f]Layla[/name_f], and [name_f]Leyla[/name_f] all make me think lay-la rather than l-eye-la

My preference would be [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] for what you’re after.

All the best!
