I think boy names on girls can actually sound really cute and even girly sometimes (depending).
I love [name_u]Leland[/name_u]! I also love [name_m]Leyland[/name_m] and [name_m]Lyden[/name_m]. 
On its own, I think I prefer Lanigan. But with your sons, I think [name_u]Leland[/name_u] is the best fit. I’m also with the other poster about the [name_f]Lele[/name_f] nn. Super cute!
I’m on your side with boys names for girls. I understand the caution, but I’ve always been drawn to them.
