My son is named [name]Larkin[/name] and he likes the name. He is in his 20s and has never had a problem with it. We are southern and so he was named given his grandmother’s maiden name. People are always telling me how much they like his name.
I think this name is unisex. These days a girl can pull off [name]Lincoln[/name] so I think a boy can do [name]Larkin[/name] easily. The lines are blurred. But for me this name is like [name]River[/name] or [name]Bailey[/name]. Some people might have strong feelings of which is male or female, but really they could go either way.

Yes, a boy could definitely be named [name]Larkin[/name]. It reminds me of the super hot spy [name]Bryce[/name] [name]Larkin[/name] on the TV show [name]Chuck[/name]. 
I consider it more of a boys name than a girls name. I think it’d be a great boy’s name. If it worked better with my last name, we would probably consider it a pretty strong possibility.
