I have done various polls and posts, but I just cannot decide on a name for our second daughter. Our first is names [name]Layla[/name] with [name]Flynn[/name] as her mn. Help!! Some names we like are [name]Silvia[/name] (my mother’s name), [name]Marina[/name], [name]Marin[/name], [name]Greta[/name], and [name]Clio[/name]. I would love feedback on the names above and some new suggestions.
By the way, we would pronounce [name]Marin[/name] “mare-in”.
I think [name]Marin[/name] is cool but I think people would pronounce it automatically [name]Mar[/name]-in.
What about [name]Marielle[/name] or [name]Marian[/name]? [name]Layla[/name] has the a-ending sound so maybe something that sounds a little different to contrast it?
The first name that popped into my head was [name]Maia[/name]. I think goes perfectly with [name]Layla[/name]. [name]Layla[/name] is very feminine and girly sounding imo and I think [name]Maia[/name] also falls into that category.

I think [name]Layla[/name] and [name]Clio[/name] make a fantastic pair. To me [name]Layla[/name] is sweet and spunky and [name]Clio[/name] has this feel to. I also like [name]Marin[/name] with [name]Layla[/name] from your choices. Some more:

I really like [name]Greta[/name]. I would want to use your mothers name as the mn but [name]Greta[/name] [name]Silvia[/name] is too ‘a’ heavy i think. [name]How[/name] about [name]Clio[/name] [name]Silvia[/name]?!
I love [name]Clio[/name] too, but [name]Amelie[/name] is growing on me. I like [name]Clio[/name] so much I almost don’t care that my husband hates it.
[name]LOVE[/name] [name]Clio[/name]!!! <3
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Clio[/name]!!! Go for it!
[name]Clio[/name] [name]Amelie[/name]
[name]Amelie[/name] [name]Clio[/name]
[name]Clio[/name] [name]Findlay[/name]
[name]Clarissa[/name] [name]Findlay[/name] nn [name]Clio[/name]
Totally go with [name]Clio[/name]!
[name]Cleo[/name] or [name]Clio[/name] so cute!
well marin is my hubby’s fave and clio is mine - so we will have to fight it out.
sorry we weren’t much help!!! But both are great choices!
[name]EDIT[/name]: Maybe he would like the traditional spelling of [name]Clio[/name] more? Kleio? If not, then don’t mention it! hehe But [name]Clio[/name] is just so rich in history. [name]LOVE[/name] IT.
His issue with the name [name]Clio[/name] is that it may be associated with the Psychic Network - haha
o0o my!!! She wasn’t around long enough for her to have that kind of influence. I mean, don’t get me wrong, there will be people that make that reference. My name is [name]Eliza[/name] and I get the My Fair Lady and Hole in the Bucket comments, but I still [name]LOVE[/name] my name. [name]Don[/name]'t let that stand in your way of using it!!
Not to mention she spelled her name [name]Cleo[/name], not [name]Clio[/name], so sound wise, yes, but visually, no one will connect that.

Now he is saying that there is a cat connotation - like he thinks of a pet intitially when he hears the name? Ugh, I still love love love it though.
