Having our second boy in 5 weeks and we still haven’t decided on a name. Here is what we have so far. Having a hard time figuring out a name that doesn’t sound dirty. Our first son is named [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] [name_u]Roy[/name_u] ([name_u]Roy[/name_u] for my husbands side of the family).
Pick a name:
*[name_m]Gregory[/name_m] Langham cox ([name_m]Gregory[/name_m] was my dads name and Langham was a family name)
*[name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] cox (both not family names)-does [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] sound like it could be turned into something dirty with our last name?
*[name_m]Gregory[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] Cox (call him gdub for nn)
*[name_u]Logan[/name_u] [name_m]Gregory[/name_m] Cox
*joel [name_m]Gregory[/name_m] cox
*beckett [name_m]Gregory[/name_m] cox
*boyd [name_m]Gregory[/name_m] cox (is it cheesy to name both boys b names?)
*[name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Gregory[/name_m] cox (call him [name_u]Charlie[/name_u])
[name_m]Gregory[/name_m] Langham or [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Gregory[/name_m] would be my choice for [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] [name_u]Roy[/name_u]'s brother. The only name on your list that I see a potential issue with is [name_m]Boyd[/name_m]. [name_m]Boyd[/name_m] Cox sounds like boy cocks or bored cocks.
I like [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Gregory[/name_m] or [name_m]Gregory[/name_m] Langham. I think [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] is OK to use. Langham could possibly become “long” but I don’t think it’s close enough to avoid it. The Gdub nickname reminds me of [name_m]George[/name_m] W [name_m]Bush[/name_m]. [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] Langham, [name_m]Gregory[/name_m] [name_m]Joel[/name_m], or [name_m]Gregory[/name_m] [name_m]Boyd[/name_m] would also work. [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] [name_m]Gregory[/name_m] also sounds nice to me.
I like [name_m]Gregory[/name_m] Langham! As long as you don’t call him gory (the end of name) I can’t see anything dirty about the name. Plus it’s such a great combo. Good luck!
My favorites are [name_m]Gregory[/name_m] Langham and [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Gregory[/name_m].
ps. a cox(swain) is the person who steers the boat in rowing. My first thought when I see the word cox is rowing
