Last name for Nelly

I have a character named [name_u]Nelly[/name_u]. She’s from the future and is a superhuman.
I’m struggling with her last name, please help me!!!

So far I have:

Something creative or unique yet still could pass as a surname now.
I also like the idea of and R for the first letter, but i’m not super picky, I just really need other ideas!

What does your character look like?

When I first saw the name, I thought of something that begins with ‘Mc’ or ‘La’. However, these probably wouldn’t work if [name_u]Nelly[/name_u]'s a tough character, because these sound like friendly, next door neighbor names.

Thank you for your wonderful ideas, I really like quite a few of them!
But [name_u]Nelly[/name_u] is one of those characters who is really a kick butt kind of character and may need a last name that’s distinctive or has a unique sound to it.
If anyone knows [name_u]Tally[/name_u] Youngblood, the main character from the Uglies book series by [name_m]Scott[/name_m] Westerfeld.
I like how [name_u]Tally[/name_u] & [name_u]Nelly[/name_u] have the same type of first name.
[name_m]Both[/name_m] are tough characters and never dull. :slight_smile:

As to the other question about what does she look like, I can happily answer that.

Age: 15-17
Height: 5’9’’
Hair: cut Short with a [name_m]Brown[/name_m]/Blonde color.
Eyes: grey/blue or green. They are always changing.
Face shape: Heart
