[name_m]Laszlo[/name_m] used to be a guilty pleasure of mine, but I’ve since started to think of it as usable. I think it’s fun, kind, and playful, with a strong meaning. What are your thoughts?
I really love [name_m]Laszlo[/name_m], it’s quite high on my list of boys names. I’d consider using it as a first name, but would definitely use it as a middle name if not.
I love it! It’s got a really great energetic, adventurous quality to it. I think it’s completely usable.
I love it! I’d personally use it for a middle, I think, but it’s totally usable as a first name. It would sound nice with a nature-name…

I actually really like it but, my husband vetoed it : (
Our 6m old is [name_m]Lazlo[/name_m]. Whilst I love the spelling with the ‘s’ hubby thought it would be spelt wrong more often than not. Now it’s a bit easier to get the nn Laz too.
I’ll be honest - his name seems to get a ‘lukewarm’ reception. No-one else seems to have loved it yet. Couple of people thought it was made up and one comment “why would you pick that?!?” ( grrrr…!!!) [name_m]Laszlo[/name_m]/[name_m]Lazlo[/name_m] comes up more often on Nameberry than his brother’s name, yet in real life more people have met or at least heard of [name_m]Jarvis[/name_m].
But we like it and that’s all that matters really
I… don’t really like it. I know it’s not made up, but it just sounds made-up. And even if it didn’t, I can’t quite get over the pronunciation… my mouth does weird things when it tries to pronounce it. It just feels so… awkward to say, at least to me.
I think it’s a great name! I considered it as a middle name but think it could definitely work as a first name. It’s unique and strong… And the nickname Laz is super cool too
Nice. I like it.
[name_m]Laszlo[/name_m] [name_m]Simon[/name_m] I think would be good.
I think it’s a cool name, but I imagine how well it’s received in real life will depend on where you’re located. There is a popular radio DJ where I live named [name_m]Lazlo[/name_m], so most people are familiar with the name even though it’s uncommon. In other places where it’s less familiar, people may assume you made it up. I don’t think you should let that both you if you really love the name, though.
