Latin Plant and Animal Names

I was wondering if anyone likes any names inspired by the latin names of any flora or fauna? I think it’s a super cool source of inspiration

I like Oxalis from wood sorrels
Ursidae after bears is cool and I love and ae combo
Laurales are an order of flowering plants including cinnamon which I love

I think this is a brilliant idea. I am not extremely familiar with most latin names, but came across [name_f]Betula[/name_f] (I had heard this one before, but didn’t realize the birch meaning), [name_m]Salix[/name_m] (willow) and [name_f]Tilia[/name_f] (linden) thanks to @moonkai

Ursidae is the ultimate cool name. And I love the bear connection.

I love Lunaria (annual honesty) and [name_f]Calluna[/name_f] (heather)!
