Laynee needs a middle name! ;)

[b]Hey Ladies- my darling husband & I have a baby due this Sepetember and we are SO ecstatic! If it is a boy, he will be named after my hubs. HOWEVER, if it is a girl, she has no name yet! I’m all about monogramming and want to be [name]SET[/name] on a name by the time I found out the gender. So far, this is what I have:

My dad’s middle name is [name]Layne[/name] and my mom’s middle name is [name]Marie[/name]. I would like her to be named after [name]ONE[/name] of them (either one.) That’s where I came up with [name]Laynee[/name]. I’m STUCK for a middle name though. I want something cute and different… PLEASE hELP! (:

Any middle name suggestions for [name]Laynee[/name] or Maycee (the two first names I’m set on) will be greatly appreciated. ALSO, tell me which one you like better-- laynee or maycee?[/b]

I prefer [name]Laynee[/name] to Maycee (though I think the spelling [name]Macy[/name] is nice) because I like that [name]Laynee[/name] uses your father’s MN. Not sure if you’d prefer cute, different & vintage or cute, different, & more modern, so I tried to think up a smattering of different styles. I think a middle name with an L in it can make the names flow nicely…

[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Ellison[/name] or [name]Laynee[/name] [name]Elise[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Brielle[/name] or [name]Laynee[/name] [name]Brynn[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Willow[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Quinn[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Jocelyn[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Madeline[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Alexis[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Abigail[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Olivia[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Annabelle[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Cecile[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Finula[/name]/[name]Fionnuala[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Paloma[/name]

When you say you want her named after one, does that mean not both? Because with [name]Laynee[/name], you could also try these middles:

[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Marigold[/name] (an unusual floral way to get to [name]Marie[/name])
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Marlene[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Marilyn[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Marin[/name], [name]Marine[/name] or [name]Marina[/name] (I love [name]Marin[/name] as a way to honor [name]Marie[/name]!)
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Marlow/name

I wonder if you could combine your parents’ two middles somehow? Marilena is often pronounced “[name]Marie[/name]-[name]Layne[/name]-a”, and you could still use [name]Layne[/name] or [name]Laynee[/name] as a nickname!

Best of luck!

As soon as i saw [name]Laynee[/name], i thought

[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Adele[/name] as my first suggestion.
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Monroe[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Olivia[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Elyse[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Ashton[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Ryan[/name]
[name]Laynee[/name] [name]Camille[/name]

Good luck!

I’m not really a fan of [name]Laynee[/name] or Maycee- both seem very childish and nicknamey to me, especially with those spellings- but [name]Laynee[/name] has more meaning behind it, so I guess I’d pick that. I prefer both as nicknames or even with different spellings like [name]Lainey[/name] and [name]Macy[/name]. But if you’re set on those and happy with your decision, good for you and congratulations!
Some names that could to honor [name]Layne[/name]:
[name]Elena[/name] (uh-[name]LAY[/name]-na)
[name]Magdalena[/name] (mag-da-[name]LAY[/name]-na, M initial also honors [name]Marie[/name])
[name]Helena[/name] (huh-[name]LAY[/name]-na)
or even just [name]Layne[/name].

For [name]Marie[/name]:
Or any other form of [name]Mary[/name].

My favourite is [name]Laynee[/name]. What about using just [name]Lane[/name]? Very cool for a little girl.

Anyway, I like [name]Laynee[/name] [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Laynee[/name] [name]Olivia[/name].

I really like [name]Lane[/name] as a name and I am not a big fan of girl’s names with EE, they seem too cutesy for me to grow as an adult. And with [name]Lane[/name] there are so many really feminine mn to use.

([name]Lane[/name] on [name]Gilmore[/name] Girls was one of my favorite characters).
