Lelia

After checking out today’s blog post, I clicked on the link to the list of [name]Saint[/name]'s names. I have had [name]Layla[/name] on my list for a while (love L names, and my husband is a Clapton fan.) The only issue I have is that [name]Layla[/name] is so popular right now. So when I saw [name]Lelia[/name] on the list, I thought that was an awesome alternative. Appparently it is pronounced Leel-ya, which at first I thought was kind of awkward but it has been growing on me. What do you think of it? [name]Do[/name] you think it would go well with my sons name, [name]Callum[/name]?
Any middle name suggestions - and perferably one that would honor [name]Marie[/name] and [name]Myra[/name] (or any variant of [name]Mary[/name]?)

Thanks!

My first thought was [name]Lelia[/name] [name]Mireille[/name], which I don’t think is actually a [name]Marie[/name]/[name]Mary[/name] variant, but I think it’s a really beautiful combo that might work.

Not liking pn, it’s too awkward. [name]Love[/name] if pn leh-leah or [name]Lee[/name]-leah. After all, I am sure you can pn whatever you like.

[name]Lelia[/name] intrigues me! A dear friend of mine in [name]France[/name] was considering using it a few years ago–from what she said, there it’d be pronounced [name]LAY[/name]-lee-ah, sort of like [name]Laelia[/name] (which, btw, I think is another great alternative to [name]Layla[/name]!). I think [name]Leila[/name] and [name]Laelia[/name] both look more aesthetically appealing than [name]Lelia[/name], but I do like [name]Lelia[/name] a lot, and Nameberry’s pronunciation intrigues me. Sort of like [name]Delia[/name] or [name]Celia[/name], but with the sweet, feminine, double-“L” appeal. I like it.
