Lena?

Pronounced Lee-nuh.

What do you think of this name as a full name (not a nickname)?

[name_u]Love[/name_u] it when pronounced len-uh or lay-nuh, but I’m not crazy about it with the lee-nuh pronunciation. I feel like [name_f]Lina[/name_f] makes more sense for that. Definitely works as a full name, though!

I really like it! I think it’s very pretty and it feels complete to me.

I love Lena! I definitely think it can stand on it’s own.

I love love love [name_f]Lena[/name_f], no matter how she is pronounced! The spelling is pretty, the sound is pretty, and Lena’s such a lovely pink-color to me!

I’m done fangirling over [name_f]Lena[/name_f] now.

Very pretty! I really like the lee-nuh pronunciation, and I think it definitely works as a full name. If [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_f]Layla[/name_f], [name_f]Luna[/name_f] etc. work, then [name_f]Lena[/name_f] does too!

I love it! I think [name_f]Lena[/name_f] is so sweet and super substantial on its own two legs! :revolving_hearts::sparkles:

I love [name_f]Lena[/name_f], to me she has a very vintage old Hollywood feel (probably because of [name_f]Lena[/name_f] Horne) and is underrated and due for revival

I absolutely love it! (when it’s pronounced as lee-na anyway)
I used to have trouble picturing [name_f]Lena[/name_f] on an adult, until [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_m]Luthor[/name_m] came along on Supergirl, now I’m completely sold on it

I absolutely love [name_f]Lena[/name_f] (and especially Lina) and prefer either as a standalone rather than a nickname! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I’ve liked it every time I’ve heard the name out in the wild.

I grew up with a [name_f]Lena[/name_f] (pronounced lee-nuh). [name_u]Mo[/name_u] strong feelings either way.

[name_f]Lena[/name_f] is gorgeous!

I think it’s pretty and definitely works as a full name!!

[name_f]Lena[/name_f] is sweet and charming

I love it!

It’s beautiful, has a great meaning, works with many cultures, timeless, and not overly popular.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] it - one of my favorite names. Would spell it how you’ve spelled it.

One name I encountered in school was [name_f]Magdalene[/name_f] (if you’re religious [name_f]Mary[/name_f] Magdalene) and thought that [name_f]Lena[/name_f] would’ve been a pretty nickname for that. But [name_f]Lena[/name_f] is just fine on it’s own without being a nickname

I like it as a full name! I have met a Lee-nuh (full name) and have used it pronounced Lay-nuh (as a nickname), so either of those pronunciations make sense to me! You may run across pronunciation errors, but it’s an easy fix and a pretty name!
