I like the name [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] for a girl.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you know what full name could be used? These are all I can come up with, but I am not keen on these or really any of the P names so I’m trying to think outside the box.
I think you could use [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] as a pet name, similar to poppet for just about any name (like [name_f]Helena[/name_f] nn [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] wouldn’t strike me as more far-fetched than [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] nn Poppy).
Some long-ish P names that I think [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] could be used as a diminutive for in spite of not containing an ‘o’:
[name_f]Perdita[/name_f]
[name_f]Pauline[/name_f]
[name_f]Petula[/name_f]
[name_f]Priscilla[/name_f]
I think any thing with an “op” or “po” sound could work:
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]
Opal/Opaline
[name_f]Apollonia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eponine[/name_f]
Polina/Paulina (I’ve actually been fond of [name_f]Paulina[/name_f] nn [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] for a while!)
Zipporah/Tzipporah
Antiope
[name_f]Cassiopeia[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleopatra[/name_f]
[name_f]Leopoldine[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
[name_f]Topaz[/name_f]
Very good options listed! The only thing I’d add is the possibility of a combo leading to the nickname, which could open up more P- name options, like:
[name_f]Pomona[/name_f] is my normaler suggestion but you said creative so here’s something a little bit out there:
I don’t know where you live but Australia and [name_m]New[/name_m] [name_m]Zealand[/name_m] have this holiday called ANZAC day which commemorates fighting in World War One.
I know of one person who was called Cazna (Anzac backwards) to remember this. Poppies are incredibly synonymous with [name_m]Anzac[/name_m] [name_f]Day[/name_f] so you could do Cazna nn [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] and play it off as a pet name if you didn’t want to explain. Ok that’s my craziest.
I actually had this thought too of something red paired with that “OP” sound. Could [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f] Work? I saw [name_f]Hope[/name_f] mentioned above since it has that sound.
