I have been loving the name [name_f]Mary[/name_f] lately, as it is a classic, and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] seems so underused nowadays.
What middle names would you pair with [name_f]Mary[/name_f]? (I am not expecting, btw.) My favorites:
I prefer [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]… I just prefer names with strong associations, but anything classic sounds bland next to [name_f]Mary[/name_f].
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is my name, so I’m super-happy to see it on your list. [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is also one of my favorite [name_f]Mary[/name_f] combinations. I tend to prefer shorter names paired with [name_f]Mary[/name_f] because I know from experience that writing out a double-barrel name takes time. I also really like [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Helen[/name_f].
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] is a gorgeous name! I’m really fond of the combination [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. On my list though I have the combination [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] ([name_f]Mary[/name_f] is my Great Aunt’s middle name and [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is her first name, I just switched them around because I loved it more) as a guilty pleasure combination I do really love [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Kate[/name_f] although I’m not keen on [name_f]Kate[/name_f] for personal reasons. I do really like double-barrel names though my favorite is [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_u]Jean[/name_u].
I love love love [name_f]Mary[/name_f]. I’ve only ever met one [name_f]Mary[/name_f] in my life (odd, but true- even at my church. I’m sure there is a [name_f]Mary[/name_f], but I haven’t met her), and I think it is a truly stunning classic. [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is beautiful. I also like:
I think for the most part, quirky and offbeat middle names sound best with [name_f]Mary[/name_f] (although I have a big soft spot for [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Esther[/name_f]).
Some beautiful combinations have been mentioned! I love [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Alberta[/name_f], and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
My first thought was that the Danish crown-princess is named [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]! She is a very kind and beautiful lady, not someone I would mind naming a child after
I [name_f]ADORE[/name_f] the name [name_f]Mary[/name_f]. It’s a family tradition that all the girls first names are [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and they go by their middle names. I was the first girl who had a legit first name instead of [name_f]Mary[/name_f] but my bio. sisters are [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Brianna[/name_f].
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Brigid[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] have all been considered.
I love [name_f]Mary[/name_f] so much. I’m really attached to the name to the point where I feel very happy whenever I see it or I feel sad I do not have a daughter named [name_f]Mary[/name_f] depending on my mood. I love [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] and many of the other names suggested : [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Lorraine[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Alberta[/name_f], and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Alouette[/name_f] are particularly nice.
I like [name_f]Mary[/name_f] paired with a traditional middle name, like [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], or something completely unexpected, like [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Astoria[/name_f].
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] is lovely and I think that is why it was so popular for so long. I love the simplicity as well as the sound of it. I think it sound much more harmonious than [name_f]Marie[/name_f] or [name_f]Maria[/name_f].
I like it with a middle name that can give the child some options…
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] … [name_f]Mary[/name_f] or [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_u]Fran[/name_u]
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] josephine … [name_f]Mary[/name_f] or [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_u]Jo[/name_u]
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] … [name_f]Mary[/name_f] or [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Beth[/name_f]
I love [name_f]Mary[/name_f]. It’s sweet, soft, floral, and graceful, but it also has a lot of body and richness due to its history (and there’s the added bonus of its religious significance, too). Honestly, you can’t go wrong with this name, in my opinion.
