Levy, Liev, and Lev

I just want to hear your thoughts on these three names.

I like [name_m]Lev[/name_m] because it’s simple but it’s very short and lacks nicknames.

I like [name_m]Liev[/name_m] (pronounced [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-ehv) because of the way it sounds but I think it may be too hard to pronounce and again there is a lack of nicknames.

[name_m]Levy[/name_m] (pronounced [name_m]Lev[/name_m]-ee) is really cute but I don’t want it to be too childish sounding or to be confused too much with [name_m]Levi[/name_m]. What are your thoughts?

I prefer [name_m]Lev[/name_m].
I think [name_m]Liev[/name_m] will often need pronunciation correction and [name_m]Levy[/name_m] sounds like a pet name for [name_m]Lev[/name_m].

I like [name_m]Lev[/name_m] or [name_m]Liev[/name_m]. [name_m]Levy[/name_m] makes me think of tax/impost - prefer it as a nn.

I like [name_m]Lev[/name_m] and [name_m]Liev[/name_m]. I think I like [name_m]Lev[/name_m] a bit more.
[name_m]Lev[/name_m] doesn’t really need a nickname, it’s only one syllable and if you want to use a nickname to be affectionate then it will probably form naturally. [name_m]Lev[/name_m] means heart in Hebrew, so you could nn him Braveheart or Dear Heart etc. if you wanted a nickname that related to his actual name (not all nicknames have to be related!).

[name_m]Liev[/name_m] sounds cool, I don’t think it would be too hard for people. But I also just prefer the simplicity of [name_m]Lev[/name_m].

[name_m]Levy[/name_m] makes me think of levee.

I prefer [name_m]Liev[/name_m], pronounced with two syllables like you have written. I’ve often wondered if pronunciation would be a problem. My guess is it would be, but minor enough that you could easily correct the offenders.

[name_m]Levy[/name_m] reminds me of taxes. [name_m]Lev[/name_m] seems to be lacking a syllable.

Also: you might like Lior

Perhaps [name_m]Liev[/name_m] with the nicknames [name_m]Lev[/name_m] and [name_m]Levy[/name_m]?
Out of the three, [name_m]Lev[/name_m] and [name_m]Liev[/name_m] are my favourites. I like [name_m]Levy[/name_m] too, but I think it would be mispronounced as [name_m]Levi[/name_m] far more often than not.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Liev[/name_m]! It has such a handsome sound.
I feel like [name_m]Levy[/name_m] would get pronounced as [name_m]Levi[/name_m] a lot, and I don’t like [name_m]Lev[/name_m]'s sound as much as [name_m]Liev[/name_m]'s (plus I prefer how [name_m]Liev[/name_m] is longer).

I love all three, but I do think that [name_m]Levy[/name_m] would get pronounced like [name_m]Levi[/name_m] a lot. I know quite a few people with this as their surname and it’s a common problem for them.

[name_m]Liev[/name_m] makes me think Schreiber and [name_m]Lev[/name_m] makes me think Tolstoy, and as an ex-Russian student the latter association appeals to me more. Plus, I love the bold, simple strength of [name_m]Lev[/name_m]’s single syllable. [name_m]Liev[/name_m] is gorgeous too, though.
