What’s your opinion of the name [name_f]Liana[/name_f] (Lee-ah-nuh)? Old-fashioned, frilly, nature-vibes, spunky, modern, fresh, heavy?? It’s currently a top contender and wondering opinions!

[name_f]Liana[/name_f] to me is fresh, melodious, sweet, international, and artistic feeling! I imagine a friendly, creative person. I think it’s a lovely name and great choice!

I like it as a name., but I do have 2 non-namey associations with it: the Suzuki [name_f]Liana[/name_f] car (I looked this up - apparently [name_f]Liana[/name_f] was used as an acronym for Life In A [name_u]New[/name_u] Age!) and liana vines (which are an invasive species where I live, so it’s a bit of a negative association).

As a name I see it as an update on [name_f]Leanna[/name_f], or a short form of [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] or [name_f]Eliana[/name_f].

I used to have a coworker named [name_f]Liana[/name_f] so I associate it with her. Smart, savvy, had a bit of sass. Definitely not old fashioned, but also not that modern sounding?! The name is feminine enough but not frilly.

I went to high school with a girl who had this name! A stylish, trendy redhead with brown eyes.
I definitely think this name feels familiar and on-trend, but it’s not overused or very common. And definitely fresher than her sister -iana names (like [name_f]Liliana[/name_f], [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], [name_f]Briana[/name_f], and the like).

I associate it with the [name_f]Liana[/name_f] vine, so therefore she feels very nature and plant based. Pale green and yellow colours, sweet and fresh.

[name_f]Liana[/name_f] is bright and nature-y - it reminds me of rainforests, vines, and greenery. It feels well established, but separate from the slightly sharper, slightly more ‘mum-sy’ [name_f]Leanne[/name_f] or [name_f]Leanna[/name_f].

I think it’s really pretty! I like the feel of it and that it’s not overly common but not outdated. It’s a really great name! I have a friend who’s name is [name_f]Liana[/name_f] and she goes by [name_f]Lou[/name_f] which I think is a great nickname!
