Liking the nn Ren/Wren, but looking for ideas of a full name. Suggestions please? :)

I just saw the name [name]Wren[/name] on here the other day, and it just kind of struck me that it was really cute and sweet sounding. But I don’t think I’d want to actually use it as a full name, and my hubby doesn’t care much for it. But I was thinking maybe there’s a name out there that we would like, and we could use the nn [name]Ren[/name]. For example. [name]Karen[/name], nn [name]Ren[/name]. I don’t care for this particular name, but can any of you think of others we might like?

This topic really interests me since I like the name [name]Wren[/name] also.
I really like Wrenna, which I guess is a British variation of [name]Wren[/name]. But maybe that is too similar to [name]Wren[/name] for your husband’s taste?
Also, I know a girl named [name]Laurence[/name] and I just saw a post on the forum about how someone honored a [name]Lawrence[/name] by using the name [name]Wren[/name]. So maybe [name]Laurence[/name] nn [name]Ren[/name]?
[name]Lauren[/name]? Maybe it’s too dated, but I think it could sound really fresh with the nickname [name]Ren[/name].
[name]Rowena[/name]. I could see [name]Wren[/name] or [name]Ren[/name] working as a nn for this.

I love [name]Wren[/name]! I would use it just on its own, but part of the appeal is that I’m using it to honor a [name]Karen[/name], actually.

What about:

[name]Florence[/name] nn [name]Wren[/name] (obviously, you could use the [name]Ren[/name] spelling for any of these–I just think [name]Wren[/name] looks prettier in all cases)
[name]Renata[/name] nn [name]Wren[/name]
[name]Renee[/name] nn [name]Wren[/name]
[name]Maren[/name] nn [name]Wren[/name]
[name]Corinne[/name] nn [name]Wren[/name] (a bit contrived, but I think it could still work)
[name]Catherine[/name] nn [name]Wren[/name]

That’s about all I can think of right now, but I’m sure there are tons of others. Hopefully other Berries will be able to think them up for you.

Good luck!

Ooh, those are really good ideas! I can’t help but comment on how much I love [name]Florence[/name] with the nn [name]Wren[/name]! That is just adorable! I’ve been considering using [name]Florence[/name] as a first name to honor a great-grandmother but I didn’t like any of the typical nicknames for [name]Florence[/name], so thanks for the idea!

What about [name]Irene[/name], [name]Renee[/name], [name]Renata[/name], [name]Erin[/name], [name]Brenna[/name], [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Farren[/name], [name]Maren[/name], [name]Taryn[/name], [name]Seren[/name], [name]Florence[/name]?

Good luck!

My name’s [name]Lauren[/name] and my mum calls me [name]Ren[/name]. As someone else pointed out though, it might be a bit dated for your taste  but I’m a bit biased so I’d say use it! Out of the suggestions I really like [name]Renata[/name] and [name]Brenna[/name]

I had the same issue. My daughter is 3 months old and we call her [name]Wren[/name]. Her full name is Wrenley [name]Beatrice[/name] which my hubby agreed to. It was between Wrenley and [name]Maren[/name]. Renly is a Game of Thrones character (male) so we just changed the spelling. I’m not a fan of invented names, but I guess it is. We call her [name]Wren[/name] most of the time, so I guess it doesn’t matter much. We are still playing around with Wrenley. It also reminded me of [name]Finley[/name] which is another name I like. Anyway, I love love love the name [name]Wren[/name], and it fits our daughter perfectly.

Other suggestions:

[name]Irena[/name]
[name]Kerensa[/name] / [name]Kerenza[/name]
[name]Lorena[/name]
[name]Lorenza[/name]
[name]Miren[/name]
[name]Serenity[/name]

I would’ve never thought of [name]Karen[/name] nn [name]Ren[/name] … that’s a cute idea  If it wasn’t my ex-boyfriend’s name, I would definitely use [name]Renee[/name] nn [name]Ren[/name] (I loved the name before I met him, and he ruined it). <3

Serenity is GORGEOUS! I love the name, and you can use the nn Ren … I’ve always wanted to use nn Rini for it <3

Wow, you all have some fun suggestions! Thanks!! While most probably aren’t names I’d actually use, they’re still great ideas. I actually really like the name [name]Lauren[/name], but I like it pronounced with a Lar-en, but my husband always says Lor-in, and I think that would bug me. It does seem a little dated, but I could totally picture a baby [name]Lauren[/name], nn [name]Ren[/name]! Never thought of it, but that’s really cute!! I think [name]Laurence[/name] is cute too, but most people would expect it to be a boy’s name. I also like the suggestions of [name]Corinne[/name]/[name]Corinna[/name], [name]Rowena[/name], [name]Brenna[/name], [name]Maren[/name], [name]Seren[/name], and [name]Renee[/name], all with the nn [name]Ren[/name]. You all really have some GREAT ideas! I’ll have to run them by my hubby and see what he thinks.
Thanks, and please keep the ideas coming!

I am [name]Lauren[/name] but go by [name]Ren[/name] . [name]Love[/name] it !

I like [name]Loren[/name] nickname [name]Wren[/name], too. [name]Kerensa[/name] is another favorite of mine.

[name]Love[/name] [name]Lauren[/name] nn [name]Ren[/name]! I’m considering naming a future daughter [name]Lauren[/name], with the nn [name]Ren[/name]. I like it much better than [name]Laurie[/name].

I like Laurencia with the nn [name]Ren[/name].

I think you love [name]Florence[/name] more than anything else that we can come up with now, but nobody said [name]Sharon[/name] (I work with a woman who spells it [name]Sharen[/name]) so I figured I’d add it to your options.
