[name_f]Liliane[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Birdie[/name_f]. I like the original french spelling. [name_f]Lilianne[/name_f] is fine, but its not as pretty to look at for me. [name_m]Even[/name_m] names with an easy, well known spellings get butchered at some point. I grew up with a non-traditionally spelled name and meh - it was fine. People caught on quickly and it made my mom happy. My daughter is [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] and really, thats the only way people spell that name and it gets butchered. Constantly. we just move on and its not a big deal at all.
I agree with you. My name is [name_u]Jean[/name_u]. Shockingly lots of people misspell it, and not [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f] or [name_u]Gene[/name_u], horrible made-up spellings. If people can take a very simple name and botch the spelling so badly, than any name can be.
Surprisingly my son’s name gets spelled correctly, usually, even though there is a second spelling (almost equally popular) but it gets three different pronunciations. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though known actors have the name and it is a known Gaelic name.
Ha! [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is my middle name, but spelled [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f] 
See? I would just go with whatever looks visually appealing to you. In the end it’s a single letter difference, if keeping that letter out makes you happy then just go for it.
[name_f]Liliane[/name_f]. I have it on my list as well and I adore the [name_m]French[/name_m] variant. Definitely will stick with this spelling.

I have met at least a dozen people named [name_u]Jean[/name_u]/[name_f]Jeanne[/name_f]. I have met less people with the top names.

[name_f]Liliane[/name_f] I’d pronounce lily-AHNN, [name_f]Lilianne[/name_f] is lily-[name_f]ANNE[/name_f], with less emphasis than the AHNN version but clearly distinguishable from [name_f]Lilian[/name_f].
I personally prefer [name_f]Liliane[/name_f], however, that’s with the [name_m]French/name_m pronounciation; if you’re going for [name_f]Lily[/name_f]-[name_f]ANNE[/name_f], I definitely like [name_f]Lilianne[/name_f] better as it is less complicated.

[name_f]Liliane[/name_f]. The [name_f]Lilianne[/name_f] spelling looks awkward to me. As a [name_m]French[/name_m] speaker, I usually have a hard time adjusting to [name_m]French[/name_m] variations that have the -anne ending (the only one I can think of that I love is [name_f]Arianne[/name_f]).

[name_f]Liliane[/name_f] has such a lovely delicateness to it that gives character to the combo. [name_f]Lilianne[/name_f] to me would kinda ruin the image.
I agree with this. [name_f]Liliane[/name_f] doesn’t give you the pronunciation you want.

I am not liking the [name_f]Lilianne[/name_f] spelling for some reason. I think [name_f]Liliane[/name_f] will cause confusion with spelling and pronunciation. Anneline could also but I do not think nearly as much.
