List of favorites for our twins

Thank you to everyone who offered suggestions. We liked a lot of them. So far this our list for first names. What do you think of them? Please give me honest opinions, I don’t like anything sugar coated, after 8 kids I think I can handle anything you have to throw at me

[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Olive[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name]
Phillippa - with the nickname [name]Pippa[/name]
[name]Tabitha[/name]
[name]Annabel[/name] - Is this to close to [name]Arabella[/name]'s name?
[name]Jessamy[/name] or [name]Jessamine[/name] - we like them both
[name]Bellamy[/name]
[name]Adelia[/name]
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Dahlia[/name]
[name]Clara[/name]
[name]Virginia[/name]
[name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]/[name]Juliette[/name]
[name]Victoria[/name]

Which are your top two that you would suggest for our twins?

Aww someone else having twins

[name]Eleanor[/name] - its very strong, works well with your other kids names
[name]Olive[/name] - spunky and adorable
[name]Penelope[/name] - eh, not my favorite
Phillippa - did you mean [name]Philippa[/name] or are you going for this spelling? I really like [name]Pippa[/name] as a nn, if my twin wasn’t named [name]Piper[/name] I probably would have used it
[name]Tabitha[/name] - I have not met a [name]Tabitha[/name] in a while so I think it would seem fresh again
[name]Annabel[/name] - I am not the one to ask on this, I [name]LOVE[/name] close names
[name]Jessamy[/name] or [name]Jessamine[/name] - I think [name]Jessamy[/name] has more spunk
[name]Bellamy[/name] - cute!
[name]Adelia[/name] - I am not sure about this one, it sounds nice though
[name]Violet[/name] - lovely!
[name]Dahlia[/name] - I like it and what a beautiful image it brings to mind
[name]Clara[/name] - I see a lot of [name]Clara[/name] on these boards but I have never met one in real life
[name]Virginia[/name] - I would worry about the virgin connection
[name]Georgia[/name] - could be cute with [name]Virginia[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]/[name]Juliette[/name] - I think it would make a great fit
[name]Victoria[/name] - fits perfectly

I would go with [name]Victoria[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name] or [name]Olive[/name] and [name]Jessamy[/name]

[name]Eleanor[/name]-I like! Have you thought of spelling as [name]Elinor[/name]?
[name]Olive[/name]-I really really dislike this name. [name]Olivia[/name] is so much prettier! [name]Olive[/name] is simply a noun to me
[name]Penelope[/name]-I like this with nn [name]Penny[/name]!
[name]Tabitha[/name]-No. Too harsh
[name]Annabel[/name]- Yes too close & I actually prefer [name]Arabella[/name].
[name]Jessamy[/name]/[name]Jessamine[/name]-I don’t like either
[name]Bellamy[/name]-It’s okay. Nicer way to get [name]Bella[/name] than [name]Isabella[/name]
[name]Adelia[/name]- I prefer [name]Adeline[/name].
[name]Violet[/name]-[name]Love[/name]!
[name]Dahlia[/name]- It’s intriguing but not my favorite name.
[name]Clara[/name]-NMS
[name]Virginia[/name]-NMSAA
[name]Georgia[/name]-it’s okay
[name]Juliet[/name]-[name]LOVE[/name]!!!
[name]Victoria[/name]-no, NMS

Names I think go best with your kids:
[name]Penelope[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Violet[/name]
& [name]Juliet[/name]!

[name]Love[/name] [name]Adelia[/name]! Gorgeous. I think [name]Adelia[/name] & [name]Virginia[/name] would make a beautiful pair. [name]Victoria[/name], [name]Annabel[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] are also lovely but distant seconds for me.

My favorite pairings are:
[name]Pippa[/name] and [name]Jessamine[/name]
or
[name]Adelia[/name] and [name]Violet[/name]

[name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Penelope[/name]
[name]Adelia[/name] and [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Clara[/name] and [name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Victoria[/name]

[name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Bellamy[/name] or [name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Tabitha[/name]…or [name]Tabitha[/name] and [name]Bellamy[/name]! Good luck

I am going to go through one by one, and then as pairs.

[name]Eleanor[/name]- I really love [name]Eleanor[/name], but with big sister [name]Emmaline[/name] it could get a little confusing, especially if you call [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Emma[/name], and plan on calling [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Ellie[/name].
[name]Olive[/name] - I really [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Olive[/name]. Plus it is a little less traditional, and kind of “bold” which makes me think it will balance sister [name]India[/name] very well.
[name]Penelope[/name]- I don’t really like [name]Penelope[/name], but I do like [name]Penny[/name] a lot! [name]Penelope[/name] is kind of tom boy masked as a girly girl imo, it stands up well against your other longer girls names. (your actual children)
Phillippa - I am not crazy about Phillippa and she would be your only girl who has a boy name converted to a girl name. Points however, if your husbads or another loved ones name is [name]Phillip[/name]. [name]Pippa[/name] is cute, but I prefer [name]Pippy[/name] like [name]Pippy[/name] Longstocking!
[name]Tabitha[/name]- I really like [name]Tabitha[/name]! It is another pretty but spunky name, kind of like [name]Penelope[/name].
[name]Annabel[/name] - This is much too close to sister [name]Arabella[/name]. [name]Even[/name] if you were to call one [name]Bella[/name] and one [name]Anna[/name], or [name]Bella[/name] and [name]Ara[/name], [name]Bella[/name] could always be interchangable, which could confuse thier friends, and even you if your too tired. lol  [name]Ara[/name] and [name]Anna[/name] are also too close [name]IMO[/name].
[name]Jessamy[/name] or [name]Jessamine[/name] - I don’t know if [name]Jessamy[/name] is [name]Jessa[/name]-my or [name]Jessa[/name]-Me, either way I don’t really like it. [name]Jessamine[/name] is a little sloppy [name]IMO[/name]. :frowning: I’m sorry. [name]Jasmine[/name] or [name]Jessica[/name], would be my choice. I think [name]Jessica[/name] is GORGEOUS for what it is worth.
[name]Bellamy[/name]- Again the [name]Bella[/name] thing. I don’t really like [name]Bellamy[/name] though. I think I may be the only one on name berry who doesn’t.
[name]Adelia[/name] - I really love [name]Adelle[/name] and [name]Odelle[/name], [name]Adelia[/name] is ok, but it sounds like it may be trying too hard.
[name]Violet[/name]- I like, but i also don’t like because it can sound like Violent.
[name]Dahlia[/name]- Very pretty. Such pretty imagery and sound.
[name]Clara[/name]- It’s ok, but a little “blah” [name]IMO[/name] a lot of people like it though. I just think it is dull.
[name]Virginia[/name]- “Meet [name]Virginia[/name]…” the song is what I think of first. Then the States which I don’t really care for. lol xD
[name]Georgia[/name]- again a state name. But this one is pretty. Have you seen Rigoletto by Feature Films for Families? The main characters best friend is [name]Georgie[/name], and this is the song Rigoletto sings to her, Rigoletto: April Child - YouTube So beautiful. This is what I think of when I hear the name [name]Georgia[/name].
[name]Juliet[/name]/[name]Juliette[/name]- I have only ever liked this name for twins [name]Guinevere[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name]. Other wise I think it is too much on its own, but with a twin named [name]Guinevere[/name] I think they really stand up to each other.
[name]Victoria[/name]- While I like the nick name [name]Tori[/name], [name]Victoria[/name] has always seemed like a snob name to me.

So here are my favorites for you. (I added [name]Adelle[/name] and [name]Jessica[/name])

[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Olive[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name]
Phillippa
[name]Tabitha[/name]
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Dahlia[/name]
[name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Adelle[/name]
[name]Jessica[/name]

I will use a few of the other names in combos as well, because even though I don’t like some of them, they or thier nick names, would sound good in a twin combo.

[name]Penelope[/name] and [name]Tabitha[/name]- [name]Penny[/name] and [name]Tabby[/name]!
[name]Penelope[/name] and [name]Jessamine[/name]/[name]Jessica[/name] [name]Penny[/name] and [name]Jessy[/name]
[name]Georgia[/name] and [name]Victoria[/name]- [name]Just[/name] sounds pretty together.
[name]Dahlia[/name] and [name]Olive[/name]- both are nature names.
[name]Eleanore[/name] and [name]Georgia[/name]- [name]Both[/name] just pretty southern sounding names.
[name]Adelia[/name]/[name]Adelle[/name] and [name]Olive[/name]- I prefer [name]Adelle[/name] obviously. I think it goes really well with [name]Olive[/name].

[name]Hope[/name] I was some help!

[name]Philippa[/name]/[name]Pippa[/name] - would ALWAYS be associated with [name]Pippa[/name] Middleton
[name]Olive[/name] - there are soo many Olivias nowadays
[name]Annabel[/name] - Too close to [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Jessamy[/name] - I think people would mispronounce and get confused over this name. It doesn’t have the same classic feel as your other names
[name]Adelia[/name] - I prefer [name]Adelaide[/name]. [name]Adelia[/name] looks somewhat made up and not as classic
[name]Bellamy[/name] - all your other girls have classic first names, I wouldn’t go with a last name
[name]Juliette[/name] - [name]Juliet[/name] is so feminine already I don’t think it needs any more frills.

I really like all your other names and think they would go together beautifully.

[name]Violet[/name] and [name]Dahlia[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Victoria[/name]

are my favorites

[name]Love[/name] love love your list! You can probably tell from my signature.
[name]Eleanor[/name] - Very classic and pretty. [name]Love[/name].
[name]Olive[/name] - Cute and spunky. [name]Love[/name].
[name]Penelope[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]. [name]Just[/name] so pretty and cool.
Phillippa - with the nickname [name]Pippa[/name] - Also love this. [name]Philippa[/name] is gorgeous and [name]Pippa[/name] is cute.
[name]Tabitha[/name] - Like, but not one of my favorites. Kind of dated.
[name]Annabel[/name] - So cute, one of my favorites. But yes, [name]Arabella[/name] and [name]Anabel[/name] are awfully similar.
[name]Jessamy[/name] or [name]Jessamine[/name] - Prefer [name]Jessamine[/name]
[name]Bellamy[/name] - Isn’t this a boys name?
[name]Adelia[/name] - Prefer [name]Delia[/name], but still pretty
[name]Violet[/name] - Cute, but quite common now. Not really my style
[name]Dahlia[/name] - Spelling bothers me
[name]Clara[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]. [name]Just[/name] so pretty.
[name]Virginia[/name] - [name]Love[/name] as well. Cute and classic.
[name]Georgia[/name] - My name  So I recommend it!
[name]Juliet[/name]/[name]Juliette[/name] - [name]Love[/name]!! I prefer [name]Juliet[/name], but both spellings are super pretty.
[name]Victoria[/name] - [name]Just[/name] okay for me. [name]Tori[/name] is cute.

So my favorite combos: [name]Olive[/name] & [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Philippa[/name] & [name]Virginia[/name], [name]Clara[/name] & [name]Juliet[/name], [name]Penelope[/name] & [name]Victoria[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name] & [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Georgia[/name]

[name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] jumped out at me. So pretty together!

[name]Eleanor[/name] - love
[name]Olive[/name] - like (probably going to have some people think it’s [name]Olivia[/name] instead)
[name]Penelope[/name] - love!
Phillippa - with the nickname [name]Pippa[/name] - not my style (makes me think of [name]Kate[/name] Middleton’s sister…)
[name]Tabitha[/name] - like, cute name.
[name]Annabel[/name] - I think this is too close to [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Jessamy[/name] or [name]Jessamine[/name] - not my style, sound like made up names
[name]Bellamy[/name] - again, not my style
[name]Adelia[/name] - same as [name]Bellamy[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] - love this name
[name]Dahlia[/name] - not really my style, I always think of the [name]Black[/name] [name]Dahlia[/name] and I’m not sure that’s a good connection
[name]Clara[/name] - love this name
[name]Virginia[/name] - love this name to
[name]Georgia[/name] - same as [name]Virginia[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]/[name]Juliette[/name] - eh, okay, [name]Juliette[/name] is a little too frilly I think
[name]Victoria[/name] - okay too, a frilly, girly-girl name

My top choices would be: [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] or [name]Georgia[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] - I just think [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] compliment each other well, as do [name]Georgia[/name] and [name]Violet[/name]

My favorites from your list, considered with siblings are [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Dahlia[/name], [name]Olive[/name] and [name]Tabitha[/name]. I think I would pair [name]Penelope[/name] and [name]Olive[/name], or [name]Tabitha[/name] and [name]Dahlia[/name].

I like [name]Victoria[/name] and [name]Juliette[/name] or [name]Tabitha[/name] and [name]Penelope[/name]

[name]Eleanor[/name] - love! [name]One[/name] of my recent crushes. I love how versatile the nns are–[name]Ella[/name], [name]Lena[/name], [name]Leni[/name], [name]Norah[/name], [name]Lea[/name], [name]Elea[/name], [name]Ellie[/name], [name]Elle[/name], [name]Norie[/name], etc. I think it’s fabulous with your other children.
[name]Olive[/name] - again, love! [name]Olivia[/name] nn [name]Olive[/name] is on my top 3. I couldn’t give up the Shakespearean connection for [name]Olivia[/name], but I absolutely love just [name]Olive[/name] for anybody else. I think [name]Ollie[/name] and [name]Liv[/name] are really cute, too.
[name]Penelope[/name] - It’s a bit overrated, imo, but it is lovely and I think it’s great for someone else’s little girl. I love [name]Poppy[/name], [name]Lola[/name], and [name]Nell[/name] as nns.
Phillippa - I prefer the [name]Philippa[/name] spelling, but I love it! Especially [name]Pippa[/name], I think [name]Pippa[/name]'s charming. Somehow I don’t think it fits completely with your other kids, what about just [name]Pippa[/name] as a MN? [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Pippa[/name] or [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Pippa[/name] or something?
[name]Tabitha[/name] - love it! It’s fabulous with your children, and I love its nicknames. So sweet and charming.
[name]Annabel[/name] - I absolutely adore it, but yes, it is way too close to [name]Arabella[/name]. :frowning:
[name]Jessamy[/name] or [name]Jessamine[/name] - sorry, I can’t see the appeal of this at all. I used to really like just [name]Jessa[/name], though.
[name]Bellamy[/name] - it’s nice, but I like [name]Bellatrix[/name] a lot more. I still think it’s too close to [name]Arabella[/name], though.
[name]Adelia[/name] - lovelovelove! [name]Adelia[/name] is such a rare, lovely [name]Addy[/name] name. I would love to see someone use it.
[name]Violet[/name] - again, love! [name]Violet[/name]'s on my short list. It’s utterly perfect with your other kids, too!
[name]Dahlia[/name] - pretty, but as far as flower names go, I think [name]Violet[/name]‘s much better with your other kids.
[name]Clara[/name] - absolutely adore! If I could see me with a [name]Clara[/name] better, I’m pretty sure it’d be on my top 10. I think it’s so charming. I think it’s great for you, too, it’s so perfect with your girls’ names.
[name]Virginia[/name] - a bit too old-fashioned for me, but I do love the nn [name]Ginny[/name].
[name]Georgia[/name] - eh, sorry, really not a fan. I like [name]Georgiana[/name] and [name]Georgina[/name] so much more. [name]Gigi[/name] and [name]Georgie[/name] are adorable, though!
[name]Juliet[/name]/[name]Juliette[/name] - I like it, but only as a MN. I think [name]Clara[/name] [name]Juliet[/name]/[name]Clara[/name] [name]Juliette[/name] would be adorable.
[name]Victoria[/name] - classic, but I’ve never loved it. I much prefer it as a MN.

[name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Clara[/name], [name]Olive[/name], and [name]Tabitha[/name] are my favorites–I think they work equally well with your children’s names. [name]Violet[/name] is by far my favorite, but I can’t decide for the second twin!

Good luck!

I love these three pairs:

[name]Philippa[/name] & [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Philippa[/name] & [name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Clara[/name] & [name]Juliet[/name]

On second thought, pairing [name]Philippa[/name] & [name]Georgia[/name] together (while cool, imo) may not be ideal. I can see people picking up on the common aspect of both names (that they’re feminine versions of male names) and jokingly calling the girls [name]Philip[/name] and [name]George[/name].

[name]Eleanor[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]!
[name]Olive[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name], I thin [name]Olive[/name] is adorable and would be so perfect with [name]India[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name] - I like it but you have better
Phillippa - [name]Love[/name], it goes perfectly with your daughters
[name]Tabitha[/name] - I like it a lot!
[name]Annabel[/name] -Too close, :frowning:
[name]Jessamy[/name] or [name]Jessamine[/name] - I like them both but I prefer [name]Jessamy[/name]
[name]Bellamy[/name] - too close to [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Adelia[/name] - I like it, you might like [name]Cordelia[/name] too
[name]Violet[/name] - so beautiful!
[name]Dahlia[/name] - I think it goes really well with your other girls, especially [name]India[/name]
[name]Clara[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] beyond words, my favorite name
[name]Virginia[/name] - eh, I am just over this one anymore
[name]Georgia[/name] - I like it but you have better
[name]Juliet[/name]/[name]Juliette[/name] - [name]Lovely[/name]!
[name]Victoria[/name] - I like it a lot too

Which are your top two that you would suggest for our twins?

[name]Olive[/name] & [name]Philippa[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name] & [name]Victoria[/name]

Alrighty!!! First of all, your kids (all eight of them, good lord! [name]Major[/name] props to you, my friend!) have the most lovely names I think I’ve ever heard. So, there’s that. Second of all, your name options are outstanding! Given the names of your girls already (I think the boys’ names are easy enough to be compatible with), here’s what I think about each of your selections:

[name]Eleanor[/name] - Oh my gosh, can I tell you how much I love this name? [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Roosevelt[/name] - the most amazing connection you could possibly have in a name for a girl. Like, probably one of the most amazing women to ever have existed, ever. Ev-er. Ahem. [name]Ellie[/name], [name]Ella[/name], [name]Nora[/name], [name]Nori[/name], [name]Lee[/name]/[name]Leigh[/name], [name]Len[/name], etc…the nn possibilities are pretty much endless, and the full name is incredible to boot. [name]One[/name] caveat (for me, anyway) would be that [name]Emmeline[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] both start with ‘E’, but [name]Cecily[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] both start with ‘C", so I’m guessing that’s not a huge issue for you. Moving on!
[name]Olive[/name] - YES. I mean, one of the spunkiest-trending-towards-popular-but-not-quite-there-yet-so-get-in-on-the-ground-floor-because-it’s-gonna-be-huge names around! Plus, [name]India[/name] doesn’t have too many friends (I mean, in the name category! I’m sure she has plenty of friends!!!), so [name]Olive[/name] would kind of be similar in that more “out there” name category. But it’s still in the same group as all your girls’ names, I think! And [name]Liv[/name]/[name]Livvy[/name] is just so precious :3
[name]Penelope[/name] - I like [name]Penelope[/name], I really do. She’s got a great personality. But I think she’s kinda ugly, and your girls are definitely all in the “pretty girls” clique. [name]Penny[/name] just doesn’t do it for me, especially not with your LGs.
Phillippa, with the nickname [name]Pippa[/name] - Ooh. I like her!!! [name]Pippa[/name], yes, will be associated (for some people) with Ms. Middleton, HOWEVER, I do not think that people will come out and say “Oh em gee, you named her after the [name]Princess[/name]’ sister or whomever!” [name]Pippa[/name] is a precious nn, and [name]Philippa[/name] is a name that works more for an adult (though I would not look down upon a grown woman who called herself [name]Pippa[/name]). I do think, though, that [name]Philippa[/name] is crossing the line into “ugly girl” territory. She needs a makeover!
[name]Tabitha[/name] - YES. Yes, yes, yes! I love the name [name]Tabitha[/name]!!! My creepy (legitimately, she is terrifying) cousin aside, [name]Tabitha[/name] is that ugly duckling who let her cool older sister give her some eyeshadow and lip gloss. She is totally fly, and this is another one of those names that you need to snap up quick, because she is getting hotter and hotter! Also: [name]Tabby[/name], [name]Tibby[/name], Bit/Bitty, [name]Tab[/name], and even [name]Tilly[/name]/[name]Tillie[/name] are adorable nns that [name]Tabitha[/name] could use to spice her name up even more.
[name]Annabel[/name]…Is this too close to [name]Arabella[/name]'s name? - I believe it is, yes =( But I do think that it’s a gorgeous name (especially this spelling!) so perhaps for one of the girl’s mns?
[name]Jessamy[/name] or [name]Jessamine[/name]; we like them both - [name]Jessamy[/name] is one of my favorites! But it seems a little out of place with your girls, to me. I do think that [name]Olive[/name] and [name]Jessamy[/name] would make a nice pair, though, especially because they both have nature meanings.
[name]Bellamy[/name] - [name]Love[/name] her, but again, a little out of place. And the “[name]Bella[/name]” thing ([name]Bellamy[/name] and [name]Arabella[/name]) bothers me a bit.
[name]Adelia[/name] - I’ve never heard that before! Like her, but not a favorite.
[name]Violet[/name] - Ugh, [name]LOVE[/name]. She’s beautiful.
[name]Dahlia[/name] - A little too murder mystery for me (The [name]Black[/name] [name]Dahlia[/name]).
[name]Clara[/name] - I love her too! She’s so generous and kind…[name]Clara[/name] [name]Barton[/name] was one of my heroes when I was younger, because my mom gave me her biography. Her, [name]Florence[/name] Nightingale, and [name]Marie[/name] Curie were my childhood idols :3
[name]Virginia[/name] - I think she’s a bit old. But [name]Ginny[/name] is a sweet nn!
[name]Georgia[/name] - A bit popular for my taste, but she’s sweet as a peach
[name]Juliet[/name]/[name]Juliette[/name] - [name]Juliet[/name] is one of the loveliest names, I think!
[name]Victoria[/name] - No. She’s too old, and not in a sweet granny-ish way. She’s just…let’s leave her in the cupboard with her curled bangs and slap bracelets, shall we? Plus, I really don’t think she fits in with your set.

Overall, I think your choices are all impeccable. My favorite beyond favorite combo is [name]Olive[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] (all the same letters, except [name]Violet[/name] has that ‘T’), with [name]Tabitha[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name] or [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Clara[/name] following along. Or maybe it’s [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name]? Oh, I don’t know. Best of luck to you and your beautiful, big family!!!

Much love
