[name_m]Hi[/name_m], this is my first time posting and I am in desperate need of all your expert opinions/suggestions!
[name_f]My[/name_f] little boy is due in four weeks and we have no idea what to name him. [name_f]My[/name_f] daughter’s name is [name_f]Serena[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_m]Gordon[/name_m], so id like something that compliments it but no boys names are jumping out at me. [name_f]My[/name_f] husbands mother, father, and grandfather are all deceased so we were looking for a P ([name_f]Patricia[/name_f]), J ([name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m]), A ([name_m]Albert[/name_m]) name but at this point I’d settle for a name we like. [name_u]James[/name_u] was my first pick, but my mom’s not too keen on it as we have lots of [name_u]James[/name_u] in our family tree (one is her father) and she feels there’s too much baggage. But I’m not counting it out yet. The middle name may be [name_m]Asbury[/name_m] (my maiden name) but open to other options.
Here are some I’m considering:
[name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Parker[/name_u] (I think it’s a little overused and my cousin just named his little boy this but it’s a family name on my husbands side)
[name_m]Archer[/name_m]
[name_u]Max[/name_u]
[name_m]Austin[/name_m]
[name_m]Jack[/name_m]
Others on the list are:
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]
[name_m]Bennett[/name_m]
[name_u]Luca[/name_u]
[name_m]Leo[/name_m]
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u]
[name_u]Taylor[/name_u]
I have to admit I’m just not in love with any of them so all suggestions/opinions are welcome!
[name_f]My[/name_f] little girl is named [name_f]Serena[/name_f] and we’re expecting twin boys soon. We are going in the nature name direction.
Names from your list that I like, even considered, and think will work:
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u], [name_u]James[/name_u] (we are using this name, but he will go by his mn for same reason as you, lots of [name_u]James[/name_u] in family), [name_m]Archer[/name_m] (I really like this, but I’m not totally feeling it), [name_m]Jack[/name_m], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_u]Luca[/name_u]–I’m liking this with [name_f]Serena[/name_f] alot).
Names that I’ve thought sounded nice with [name_f]Serena[/name_f]–
[name_f]Serena[/name_f] and [name_m]Eli[/name_m]
[name_f]Serena[/name_f] and [name_m]Liam[/name_m]
[name_f]Serena[/name_f] and [name_m]Levi[/name_m]
[name_f]Serena[/name_f] and [name_u]Kai[/name_u]
Congrats to you and welcome to Nameberry! [name_f]Serena[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is very pretty. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite from your boys list is [name_m]Jack[/name_m] but if you choose your maiden name in the middle spot, it would not be ideal ([name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]ASbury[/name_m]??? :)). I love [name_m]Leo[/name_m] too and I think it’s ok with the mn and [name_m]Gordon[/name_m]. With [name_m]Asbury[/name_m], I would avoid a first name containing an “s” in it to avoid a lispy combo. Also, if [name_m]Gordon[/name_m] is your surame, a name ending in “n” isn’t the best choice (eg. [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]/[name_m]Ben[/name_m], [name_m]Austin[/name_m], [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]). Here are some P, J and A suggestions.
[name_m]Patrick[/name_m] - would honour a [name_f]Patricia[/name_f]
[name_m]Peter[/name_m]
[name_m]Percival[/name_m] nn [name_u]Percy[/name_u]
[name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] nn [name_u]Perry[/name_u]
[name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Jonah[/name_m]
[name_m]Jacob[/name_m] nn [name_m]Jake[/name_m] - if you don’t mind the popularity
[name_u]Jesse[/name_u]/[name_m]Jeremy[/name_m]/[name_m]Jasper[/name_m]/[name_m]Julius[/name_m]/[name_m]Joshua[/name_m]/[name_m]Joseph[/name_m]/[name_m]Josiah[/name_m] - if you change your mind regarding [name_m]Asbury[/name_m] as a middle name
[name_m]Abram[/name_m]/[name_m]Alaric[/name_m]/[name_m]Alexander[/name_m]/[name_m]Andrew[/name_m]/[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] - if you don’t mind alliteration with [name_m]Asbury[/name_m]
[name_m]Anthony[/name_m]/[name_u]Asa[/name_u]/[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m]/[name_m]Alastair[/name_m]/[name_u]August[/name_u] - if you don’t use [name_m]Asbury[/name_m] as a middle name
