Respondents: 84 (This poll is closed)

  • Mary Linda : 20 (24%)
  • Ruby Linda : 29 (35%)
  • Lucy Linda : 10 (12%)
  • Clara Linda: 25 (30%)

Of the four choices listed, I like [name_f]Clara[/name_f] the best as a standalone first name, and also as the (admittedly sing-song) combination with mn [name_f]Linda[/name_f].

I’m not sure if you’re willing to consider names containing “linda” or if that’s too much negotiation for you, but if you are, I think [name_f]Rosalinda[/name_f], called [name_f]Roz[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Rosa[/name_f], or [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] would work, as would [name_f]Selinda[/name_f]/[name_f]Celinda[/name_f]. [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] might be less of a stretch because it’s [name_f]Linda[/name_f] with two extra letters in the middle, and it can obviously be shortened to [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], which you like. Again, I don’t mean to step on your toes suggested these “[name_f]Linda[/name_f]-esque” names.

Best of luck, and congratulations!

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] & [name_f]Mary[/name_f] is an adorable sister set and I think [name_f]Mary[/name_f] sounds very nice with the middle name. I would love to meet a little [name_f]Mary[/name_f]! At the moment, it is a very distinctive choice. It got my vote!

I voted for [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Linda[/name_f] is so sweet, and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] would make adorable sisters. My second choice would be [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Linda[/name_f], but I think that the a’s on the end of each name prevent the name from flowing as well as it could. [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Linda[/name_f] would be my third choice because I like [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] as sisters.

I love all 4 names on your list and like all of them as a sister for [name_f]Alice[/name_f]. However I don’t think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] work with [name_f]Linda[/name_f] so I crossed them off first. I chose [name_f]Mary[/name_f] as it’s so little used these days and has such a warm, traditional quality. I love [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] too, but just used popularity to separate it from [name_f]Mary[/name_f].

I voted for [name_f]Mary[/name_f] but I’m not sure any on your list are the best fit. [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] , [name_f]Odette[/name_f] , [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] or [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]?

@seedsandstones I never thought of using [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] to honor [name_f]Linda[/name_f] but the more I think about it the more I like the idea. It comes with a bunch of great nicknames and DH is not entirely against it. Maybe [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] to honor [name_f]MIL[/name_f] and her late mother, whose engagement ring I wear. Thank you for the suggestion!

I think they are all wonderful choices, especially with [name_f]Alice[/name_f], but I chose [name_f]Clara[/name_f].

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] or [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
They’re both lovely names. And have a nice flow when combined with [name_f]Linda[/name_f].

I voted [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] but really loved [name_f]Mary[/name_f] too!

[name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Linda[/name_f] sounds the best. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] also sounds a best option as a sisters!:hugs: Good luck!

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] are two names that in my opinion were born to be together as a combo or as siblings but especially as siblings. They fit each other perfectly! My second favorite would be [name_f]Mary[/name_f], which I love but feel is a bit less popular than [name_f]Alice[/name_f] right now.

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] is my absolute top pick for a future girl. In general I just love your style (my name is [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], so maybe I’m biased). The only name I’m iffy on from your picks is [name_f]Clara[/name_f], just because I’m a little tired of it.

My top pick is [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]. Because it would be our second pick for a girl, if only our surname didn’t end in an ‘ee’ sound. Actually it’s also why we had to rule out [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] too! I’d love to use [name_f]Mary[/name_f].

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Linda[/name_f] first, then [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Linda[/name_f] are my picks. Both are stunning and work beautifully with [name_f]Alice[/name_f] (all of your choices are and do). [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is just such a sweet yet substantial name!

Other suggestions, just in case: [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] (a bit longer, but it’s my second choice :stuck_out_tongue: ), [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Freya[/name_f], [name_f]Helen[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f].

I have to vote for [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Linda[/name_f] - [name_f]Mary[/name_f] is such a rare name today, that it would be quite refreshing to meet a young [name_f]Mary[/name_f]! It’s classic and goes so well with [name_f]Alice[/name_f]!

Otherwise, my second choice is [name_f]Clara[/name_f].

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] are perfection.

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] are perfect together!

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] as a sibset is a lovely idea! But, this time, I have to go with [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. I’ve been loving it lately.

All of the names on your list would work beautifully with [name_f]Alice[/name_f]! I agree with @araminty that [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] don’t really work with mn [name_f]Linda[/name_f]. My favorite is [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] & [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] are so sweet as sister names. I love both:)

I loved [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Linda[/name_f]!

I love them all! I vote [name_f]Clara[/name_f] or [name_f]Mary[/name_f].
