We love the name [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] for a girl but aren’t keen on [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f]. Would like a more “girly” long name she could use if she wanted to. We’ve thought of [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] but would be a bit sad if she decided to shorten to [name_f]Gen[/name_f]! Also thought of Etienna ([name_m]Etienne[/name_m] is the french version of [name_m]Steven[/name_m], Etienna makes it feminine). Not keen on Stevia, [name_f]Stella[/name_f] or [name_f]Estelle[/name_f].
Daphne is our other front running name!
Middle name will be [name_u]Maria[/name_u], and this little girl has a big brother called [name_m]Truman[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m].
Thanks both! [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] is pretty but I’d want to shorten to [name_u]Sunny[/name_u]! [name_m]Just[/name_m] thought of [name_f]Delphine[/name_f], but a quick search tells me there’s someone called [name_f]Belle[/name_f] [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] who we might not want our baby to be named after…
I knew a [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] who went by [name_u]Stevie[/name_u], but I think she just wanted to be called [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] because she didn’t like [name_u]Vesper[/name_u].
This is a stretch but what about [name_f]Stella[/name_f], [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]?
This is a good idea - I really like [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] ([name_f]Victoria[/name_f] is my mum’s name) but would it seem strange to nickname [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] to [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] since it’s such a similar name?!
Stevie seems to be the name that you have your hearts set on. Use it as a first name. [name_u]Maria[/name_u] provides the femininity to balance it out.
