[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I are working on choosing our top 3 names. We prefer to have a longer, formal name and then a diminutive nickname for every day use. One name we really like as a nickname is [name_m]Eli[/name_m]. As a formal name for [name_m]Eli[/name_m], we are considering:
I like [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]. It has strength. Unfortunately, [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] is being swooped in on by girls so that one’s not as clean cut.
I don’t know why I prefer the double s in [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] over the double j of [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u].
Either way [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] is a great name no matter gender!
I really like [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]. I’ve never met an [name_u]Elliot[/name_u], so it appeals to me more than [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], several of whom I’ve met, and I don’t like the double s of [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u].
