I’ve recently fallen in love with sweet [name_f]Millie[/name_f], but I’m not totally convinced on [name_f]Millie[/name_f] as a stand alone name. I know [name_f]Millicent[/name_f] is the most common full name for nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f], but it feels a bit too stuffy for my taste.
What long names can be shortened to [name_f]Millie[/name_f]? It doesn’t matter to me if it’s intuitive or not, one of my fave nicknames for [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is [name_f]Millie[/name_f] and I am certain that the berries can think of even more creative full names
I was going to suggest [name_f]Mildred[/name_f], but if [name_f]Millicent[/name_f] feels too stuffy for you then it’s probably not the one either, haha.
I’m thinking [name_f]Milena[/name_f], [name_f]Camille[/name_f] / [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] or [name_f]Romilly[/name_f]!
My first thoughts are Emilia/Amelia, Emily/Amelie or Camilla/Camille but I also like Romilly or Matilda/Mathilde. You could use it for Milla/Miller too but you might then wonder why not just Millie.
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] - beginning with the least intuitive on this little list!
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f]
[name_f]Marlowe[/name_f]
[name_f]Minerva[/name_f]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]
[name_f]Meredith[/name_f]
[name_f]Melody[/name_f]
[name_f]Amabel[/name_f] - second place for stretchiness
[name_f]Marceline[/name_f], [name_f]Marcelina[/name_f]
@Demoiselle it’s always the obvious ones I seem to forget haha, [name_f]Milena[/name_f] & [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] are gorgeous!
@Greyblue Shortening [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] to [name_f]Millie[/name_f] is inspired!
@VEL I adore [name_f]Marilla[/name_f], nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f]! I especially love the [name_f]Anne[/name_f] of [name_m]Green[/name_m] [name_m]Gables[/name_m] reference
@Maria_Bennett ooohhh, I quite like the idea of [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f]!
@EloiseT completely agree with you on the Mila/Milla/Miller question, it just feels too close!
@taisia1 I’ve never heard of [name_f]Miliana[/name_f], but she’s very striking! For some reason it makes me think of an opera singer, but not sure why
@Taylor_Anne so many good ones! you and @Greyblue are seriously making me consider [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f], nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f]!
@EdgeOfTheMeadow , I can definitely see the [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f] vision! I also really like [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] + [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], they’re just the sweetest!
