Longer names that might get the nickname "Elle"

I’m not pregnant (currently…) - just planning ahead!

I really like the short, sweet “[name]Elle[/name]” as a nickname, but I’d want a longer name to draw it from.

I’m not into common names for girls, so something more unusual would be preferred. The ones that come to mind for me are [name]Elsbeth[/name]/[name]Elspeth[/name] and [name]Elletta[/name]. I know [name]Elletta[/name]'s not REALLY a recognized name, but a friend invented it for a story we wrote long ago, and I yearn to use it someday. It’s so pretty!

What are some other slightly unusual names that [name]Elle[/name] could theoretically come from?

I also really like the middle name [name]Hermione[/name]. I’d probably use it, especially if I could get my husband to agree to [name]Elspeth[/name]. [name]Elspeth[/name] [name]Hermione[/name]…

I really love [name]Elletta[/name]!

Not that unusual here on nameberry but hardly used, not in the top 1000 in any case. Great name that could easily shortened to [name]Elle[/name].

Not really a fan of [name]Elsbeth[/name]/[name]Elspeth[/name] but [name]Elletta[/name] is really cute.

[name]Elowen[/name] and [name]Eliora[/name] are my favourites.

[name]Elspeth[/name] is gorgeous too.

[name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Eliana[/name] aren’t really uncommon but I don’t mind them.

[name]Emmanuelle[/name] is odd (and long!) but I’m fond of it, along with Immanuela.

My cousin’s daughter is [name]Elliana[/name]. [name]Love[/name] that name.

[name]Elsbeth[/name]/[name]Elspeth[/name] (really like [name]Elspeth[/name])
[name]Helen[/name]/ [name]Helena[/name]/ [name]Helene[/name]
[name]Maribella[/name]/ [name]Maribelle[/name]
[name]Mirabella[/name]/ [name]Mirabelle[/name]
[name]Raphaela[/name] ([name]Rafaela[/name])

[name]Emerald[/name], perhaps?

Gwenelle

I once met a girl named [name]Elora[/name] (pronounced: [name]Elle[/name]-or-ah) and I think the name is beautiful!

I know a girl named [name]Ellery[/name] who goes by [name]Ella[/name] and [name]Ellie[/name].

My sister just named her new baby Chevelle.

[name]Elissa[/name]? I don’t know anyone with that name-my husband suggested it!

[name]Eliana[/name] nn [name]Elle[/name] or [name]Lana[/name], [name]Lani[/name]

I love the suggestions of [name]Ariel[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name]/[name]Elinor[/name], [name]Elora[/name], [name]Eliza[/name], and [name]Brielle[/name] (couldn’t use that last one, though…her uncle [name]Brian[/name] would always joke that we named her after him! Ha!).

Thanks, berries!

hmmm…what hasn’t been said

It just reminds me of [name]Alyssa[/name]. I know it’s a legit name (and pretty!) but because [name]Alyssa[/name] is so much more popular, the spelling seems kinda made up.
