[name_m]Hi[/name_m] berries,
I’m looking for a boy name that sounds or “feels” like [name_u]Bryn[/name_u]. I love the name [name_u]Bryn[/name_u] but a good friend has called her daughter that (and I think it’s an awesome name for her).
This name will be for a brother for [name_u]Rex[/name_u]. So I’m looking for strong boy names that go well with [name_u]Rex[/name_u] but are similar to [name_u]Bryn[/name_u]. It’s a tall order! What I like about [name_u]Bryn[/name_u] is that it is strong/bold, has lots of personality and history, and it is quite short. [name_u]Bryn[/name_u] feels unusual these days yet not too weird.
I like [name_u]Tarian[/name_u] too but unfortunately we cannot have any names starting with T due to our last name.
I realise this is a real challenge
Thank you
What about [name_u]Ren[/name_u]? It was the main characters name in Footloose ([name_u]Love[/name_u] me some [name_m]Kevin[/name_m] Bacon) and I have always loved it.

Thank you! Some great suggestions. I really like [name_u]Flynn[/name_u], [name_m]Birch[/name_m] and [name_u]Ren[/name_u]. I have never come across [name_u]Ren[/name_u] before. It’s very similar to [name_u]Bryn[/name_u]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it sounds like a boy’s name? There are so many girls with masculine names these days.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] people think it is too much to have two siblings with the same initial letter, I.e. [name_u]Rex[/name_u] and [name_u]Ren[/name_u]?
I don’t think it’s too much to have two Rs. And in fact, you could use the spelling more commonly chosen these days - [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. That would be my hesitation, it is coming up for girls these days. And it always reminds me of [name_u]Ren[/name_u] & Stimpy, but I know that association will fade.
