Looking for a name for Helena's sister

My first girl is called [name]Helena[/name] [name]Johanna[/name] [name]Lily[/name].
We chose the latter two names after two of her (great) grandmothers. Apart from the sound we loved the meaning of [name]Helena[/name] and [name]Johanna[/name] (‘bright star’ and ‘Gods gift’).
Now we are looking for names in similar style for her sister.

We are thinking along the lines of: [name]Daisy[/name], [name]Vera[/name], [name]Florence[/name], [name]Evie[/name], [name]Stella[/name], [name]Eden[/name]
Also I had a thought that [name]Havana[/name] could possibly go well with [name]Helena[/name] as first name.

Ideally we can come up with three names in similar style. The girls are also likely to live around the world in various countries (and changing schools) so I think they would prefer rather ‘normal’ names but not too common.

Appreciate all your thoughts.

[name]Helena[/name] [name]Johanna[/name] [name]Lily[/name] is a lovely combo with three classy names so from your list, I like [name]Florence[/name] and [name]Vera[/name] the best. [name]Stella[/name] [name]Daisy[/name] perhaps could be used as the middle names. [name]Evie[/name] is too nicknamey, [name]Eden[/name] is more modern in feel than [name]Helena[/name] and [name]Havana[/name] is too themey (eg. [name]Helena[/name] and [name]Havana[/name] are two place names). [name]Florence[/name] [name]Stella[/name] [name]Daisy[/name] would be a great sibling name for [name]Helena[/name]'s sister. Here are some other suggestions.
[name]Louisa[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] / [name]Carolina[/name]
[name]Augusta[/name]
[name]Lucia[/name]
[name]Lucinda[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name]
[name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Margaret[/name] / [name]Marguerite[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name] / [name]Beatrix[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name]
[name]Alice[/name]
[name]Adelaide[/name] / [name]Adeline[/name]
[name]Cecilia[/name] / [name]Cecily[/name]
[name]Georgina[/name] / [name]Georgiana[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Julia[/name] / [name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Evangeline[/name] (with nn [name]Evie[/name])
[name]Antonia[/name]

Thanks [name]Mischa[/name] some very useful idea’s.
First, yes let’s not call her [name]Havana[/name].
Also when you look at it I agree with you on [name]Evie[/name] and [name]Eden[/name].
Of you suggestions I like:
[name]Louisa[/name]
[name]Augusta[/name] (if she was born in [name]August[/name] I would go for this)
[name]Lucia[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name]
[name]Adelaide[/name] / [name]Adeline[/name]
[name]Julia[/name] / [name]Juliet[/name] - Could [name]Juliana[/name] work

Some others that we had are: [name]Eveline[/name], [name]Holly[/name], [name]Aurelia[/name], Feline, [name]Savanah[/name], [name]Jesse[/name], [name]Isla[/name], [name]Iris[/name]

And some more sighltly more adventures names we had listed: [name]Coco[/name], [name]Leigh[/name], [name]Pearl[/name], [name]Delphi[/name], [name]Dahlia[/name], [name]Skye[/name], [name]Blythe[/name], [name]Bluebell[/name], [name]Anais[/name], [name]Azalea[/name], [name]Oceane[/name], [name]Ophelia[/name]

Like you see we have not really narrowed down much, and it is the combination that needs to work.

Dear all,

We only have a few days to go, and the list has now reduced to the following names for [name]Helena[/name]'s sister:

[name]Florence[/name]
[name]Annabel[/name]
[name]Juliana[/name]

Please let me know prefer one over the other.
Also any sugestions on 2nd and 3rd names to go with the first?

Thanks!

[name]Florence[/name], hands down. [name]Helena[/name] and [name]Annabel[/name] feel like the same sounds rearranged. I like [name]Juliana[/name], but feels too long, even a little clunky syllable-wise, compared with smooth [name]Helena[/name]. [name]Florence[/name] is divine.

I think that the second name should be one of personal/family importance, just as [name]Johanna[/name] and [name]Lily[/name] are. I don’t know your family tree, though, so I’m not sure who you might care to honor. I think the last name would be a great spot to stick one of your adventurous names. So maybe… (The order could reverse, of course).

[name]Florence[/name] [name]Juliana[/name] [name]Skye[/name]
[name]Florence[/name] [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Blythe[/name]
[name]Florence[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Leigh[/name] (gotta watch out for spelling things when you follow [name]Florence[/name] with a vowel name, haha!)

But again, I think at least one of those names should have personal, if not genealogical, importance.

To go with Helena Johanna Lily (which is fantastic, by the way):

Annabel is my favorite. Feminine but not frilly. Absolutely gorgeous!
Juliana is my second. It’s a bit more lacy than Helena, but still a beautiful name.
Florence is my least favorite of your choices. I do like this name, but the others are names that I would use, too.

As for her second and third name, I think that using names personal to you is a great way to go, just as ellenell said. Something like Abigail or Catherine comes to mind for her second name, style-wise. For the third name, why not use another floral name, like Violet or Rose or Calla? I think that would be a lovely trend to have among your girls. Hmmm, Annabel Catherine Rose would be a beautiful combination :). Good luck!

I have [name]Helena[/name] very, very high on my list, so I’ve been brainstorming with this name a LOT! just wanted to throw my list out there in case you’re still open for suggestions

[name]Annika[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name]
[name]Laurel[/name]
[name]Juliette[/name]

I think any of these would sound great with [name]Helena[/name]!
Out of the ones listed, I like [name]Annabel[/name] best.
[name]Do[/name] you pronounce it [name]Helen[/name]-a or He-[name]LAY[/name]-na?

My son was going to be [name]Helena[/name] if he was a girl, so you may like other girl names on our list:
[name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Imogen[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Rose[/name]
[name]Annika[/name]
[name]Annaliese[/name]
[name]Briony[/name]
[name]Verity[/name]
[name]June[/name]
[name]Faye[/name]

Good luck!

[name]Helena[/name] [name]Johanna[/name] [name]Lily[/name] is a beautiful name

I really like [name]Alicia[/name] with [name]Helena[/name] but worry that it may seem a little dated, wdyt?

More ideas

[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Veronica[/name] [name]Lucy[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Adelina[/name] [name]Joy[/name]
[name]Carolina[/name] [name]Estella[/name] [name]May[/name]
[name]Marissa[/name] [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Hope[/name]
[name]Louisa[/name] ([name]Lucy[/name]) [name]Florence[/name] [name]Daisy[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Lucia[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Stella[/name] [name]Imogen[/name] [name]Daisy[/name]

Good luck,

rollo

Sorry I just found this post. Well I love [name]Annabel[/name] followed by [name]Juliana[/name].

[name]Annabel[/name] [name]Verity[/name] [name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Annabel[/name] [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Annabel[/name] [name]Lucinda[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Annabel[/name] [name]Meredith[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
[name]Annabel[/name] [name]Miranda[/name] [name]Claire[/name]

[name]Annabel[/name] [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Juliana[/name] [name]Brigitte[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Juliana[/name] [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Juliana[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]
[name]Juliana[/name] [name]Gretchen[/name] [name]Lucy[/name]
[name]Juliana[/name] [name]Laurel[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Juliana[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Grace[/name]

[name]Helena[/name] and [name]Juliana[/name] seem most natural to me, both very classic in the Greek/Latin sense. [name]Helena[/name] and [name]Julia[/name] would also be lovely! I think [name]Annabel[/name] and [name]Florence[/name] are also perfectly reasonable options too however. All best!

I like [name]Helena[/name] a LOT, and I think [name]Juliana[/name] seems closest spelling/sound-wise, [name]Florence[/name] era-wise. I like [name]Anabelle[/name], but I think they aren’t a very nice fit. I like:
[name]Juliana[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Rose[/name]/[name]Daisy[/name]
[name]Juliana[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Rose[/name]/[name]Daisy[/name]
[name]Juliana[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Rose[/name]/[name]Daisy[/name]
[name]Florence[/name] [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Rose[/name]/[name]Daisy[/name]
[name]Florence[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Rose[/name]/[name]Daisy[/name]
[name]Florence[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Rose[/name]/[name]Daisy[/name]
[name]Florence[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Rose[/name]/[name]Daisy[/name]

I really like [name]Luciana[/name] with [name]Helena[/name]. The way they look together is great and their meanings tie together. [name]Luciana[/name] meaning light going with the bright star theme. Or even [name]Lucia[/name]. I also think [name]Theone[/name], [name]Thea[/name] and [name]Annika[/name]. [name]Theone[/name] means gods gift again to tie in with the theme.

I think the way to go is:

[name]Luciana[/name] [name]Theone[/name] [name]Daisy[/name].

Goodluck

Your daughters name [name]Helena[/name] [name]Johanna[/name] [name]Lily[/name] is so so beautiful! I think that [name]Florence[/name] is stunning and underused, a great match for [name]Helena[/name].
[name]Florence[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Violet[/name] or [name]Florence[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Daisy[/name] or [name]Florence[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Rose[/name] are my pick for you, like your daughters name a strong yet feminine first name paired with a soft first middle and a flower second middle.

I also like how [name]Helena[/name] and [name]Florence[/name] arent too matchy, [name]Helena[/name] and [name]Juliana[/name] both have the ‘a’ ending which make them a bit similar imo. Also if you chose another ‘a’ ending you may feel locked into using other ‘a’ ending names for children (if you plan on having more!)

I also just thought of [name]Florence[/name] [name]Juliana[/name] [name]Eve[/name] and [name]Florence[/name] [name]Juliana[/name] [name]Violet[/name]

  1. [name]Florence[/name]
  2. [name]Juliana[/name]
  3. [name]Annabel[/name]

[name]Helena[/name] [name]Johanna[/name] [name]Lily[/name] is a gorgeous name! What about [name]Florence[/name] [name]Vera[/name] [name]Bluebell[/name]? I like that you have more flower names on your adventurous list - you can definitely tie the name with [name]Helena[/name]'s by making the second middle a flower name!

Dear all,
I am pleased to announce the name of my second daughter:

[name]Florence[/name] [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Eva[/name]

She was born healthy on the 30th of [name]November[/name]. It took us two more days after the birth to decide on her name but she looked just like a little, pretty [name]Florence[/name].
Thanks all for your inputs.

From a Proud Father.

PS [name]Helena[/name] is working beautiful for my first daughter, she is 4 years old now and has given the name her own personality. It is pronounced He-[name]LAY[/name]-na.
Hopefully [name]Florence[/name] will be able to give personality to her name.

proud father congratulations on the birth baby [name]Florence[/name] I am sure that she will soon mark her name in her own individual way.

Can I suggest that you post in the Birth Announcement section here so more people will learn about baby [name]Florence[/name]?

best wishes,

rollo
