Looking for a Strong, Beautiful but RARE Vintage Name!

I loved the suggestion of [name]Willoughby[/name]. [name]Willoughby[/name] [name]Ann[/name] to honor your mother, nn [name]Willa[/name]?

Sodonie. But no more Sophies, pls, even as a nn!

My daughter’s name is [name]Waverly[/name]. She’s the only one around as far as anybody knows  [name]Unique[/name], Pretty and not a far-out name.

It would be so wonderful if you could honor your mother [name]Leona[/name] with a name that fits your style. [name]How[/name] about…

[name]Linnea[/name] - (the favorite flower of Swedish botanist [name]Carolus[/name] Linnaeus, who named it after himself).

This is an unusual name outside of Scandinavia and has a vintage feel, is a turn on a surname, and is femenine without being too girlie (in my opinion).

Well I had fun looking for some ideas for you, Everyones tastes are so different so you may not like any of them! but it was fun all the same, and I found a few new names to add to my favourites.
All the very best

These aren’t that ‘rare’ but I thought they’d sound good with Copeland.

[name]Millicent[/name] ([name]Millie[/name])
[name]Esme[/name]
[name]Octavia[/name]
[name]Wilhelmina[/name] ([name]Willa[/name])
[name]Magnolia[/name]
[name]Seraphina[/name]

Oooh I like Holloway…

What about Allifair, definitely rare, but still feminine and I could see it with Copeland

I just love the process of picking baby names–even if it’s frustrating. I just recently found out I’m pregnant again and, though I’ve had boys only so far and wouldn’t be too disappointed if I did have a fourth, I’m really hoping to get a chance to comb through some girl names. If it is a girl, I’m pretty sure I’m going to be sticking with [name]Indian[/name]/Persian/Arabic names, but I’ve looked through plenty of other types, too, and my favorite style just so happens to be the old, vintage and classical types.

For you, I think these would do good if you’re looking for something that goes well with Copeland but is more feminine:

[name]DELANEY[/name]
[name]CONSTANCE[/name] (I love, love this name. A nickname could be [name]Connie[/name] or a more off-beat one like Stanzi)

If you are looking for a less trendy alternative to [name]Harper[/name], how about trying some other, more unique unisex names such as [name]Flynn[/name], [name]Flannery[/name], [name]Rowan[/name] or [name]Rory[/name]?

Good luck!

Bounce

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but i’ve been crushing hard on the name [name]Melisende[/name]. the name [name]Millicent[/name] was derived from this name so it’s supervintage and doesn’t sound like millitant. THere’s also the french form [name]Melisande[/name] who is the heroine of a great fairytale that was the basis for repunzel. It’s a great story and a little more feminist friendly than your average fairytale.
