I would love to have your help with coming up with names that fit with [name]Griffin[/name]. We do not have any kids yet, but we are ttc and we’ve already agreed on a name for a future son - [name]Griffin[/name]. We’re having a little more trouble with girls’ names…
Here’s my list so far:
[name]Coralie[/name]
[name]Elena[/name]/[name]Elaina[/name] (eh-[name]LAY[/name]-na)
[name]Diana[/name] (nn [name]Annie[/name]) *family name
[name]Jocelyn[/name] *to honor a [name]Joyce[/name]
[name]Carina[/name]
[name]Cecily[/name] (don’t like the meaning)
My hubby is ok with some of the names on my list, and he also really likes:
[name]Brittany[/name] [name]Lynn[/name]
[name]Sara[/name]
[name]Ellen[/name] *family name
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Also what do you think of [name]Griffin[/name] and what do you think of the names on the list so far?
Thank you in advance!!!
[name]Hi[/name] there, [name]Griffin[/name] is one of my favourite boys names! Awesome meaning and you get the nn’s [name]Griff[/name] or [name]Fin[/name] Double bonus!
I like [name]Coralie[/name], [name]Elena[/name], [name]Diana[/name], [name]Cecily[/name], [name]Sara[/name] and [name]Ellen[/name] [name]Brittany[/name]'s a bit dated to me, and [name]Jocelyn[/name] and [name]Carina[/name] aren’t really my style.
With [name]Griffin[/name] I can most imagine [name]Elena[/name]/[name]Ellen[/name] or [name]Sara[/name] I think although [name]Coralie[/name] and [name]Cecily[/name] could be cute too.
Other names you might like to go with [name]Griffin[/name], that may also bridge the gap between you and your hubby’s tastes!:
[name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Cora[/name]
[name]Cara[/name]
[name]Melina[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Helena[/name]
[name]Emilia[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name]
[name]Eloise[/name]
[name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Elodie[/name]
[name]Lana[/name]
[name]Alannah[/name]
[name]Ariana[/name]
[name]Ariella[/name]
[name]Lilia[/name]/[name]Liliana[/name]
[name]Eliana[/name]
[name]Dana[/name]
[name]Adriana[/name]
[name]Juliana[/name]
[name]Luciana[/name]
[name]Delilah[/name]
[name]Daria[/name]
[name]Dahlia[/name]
[name]Della[/name]
[name]Adele[/name]
[name]Scarlett[/name]
[name]Serena[/name]
[name]Sera[/name]
[name]Sophie[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name] nn [name]Josie[/name]/[name]Joy[/name]
[name]Joanna[/name]
[name]Jane[/name]
[name]Joy[/name] (in honour of [name]Joyce[/name]?)
[name]Jacinda[/name]
[name]Celina[/name] (nicer meaning that [name]Cecily[/name])
[name]Bryony[/name] (instead of [name]Brittany[/name]?)
[name]Bridget[/name]
[name]Brielle[/name]
[name]Briar[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Hope[/name] that helps!
ljandrl, thanks for your help! So you like [name]Griffin[/name] too?! Yes, we love it, and love the nn [name]Griff[/name].
At the moment our top choice that we agree on for a girl would probably be [name]Coralie[/name]. [name]Just[/name] not totally sure about it. I do love all the nn options: [name]Cora[/name], [name]Cori[/name], [name]Coral[/name], [name]Lee[/name]/[name]Leigh[/name]…
You had some great suggestions! Here’s the one I like:
[name]Caroline[/name] (I love it but my hubby isn’t crazy about it, except maybe as a potential middle name)
[name]Charlotte[/name] (could honor a family name - [name]Lottie[/name], but my hubby doesn’t like)
[name]Cora[/name] (hubby much prefers [name]Coralie[/name], and I’m fine with that because I can still use [name]Cora[/name] as a nn)
[name]Cara[/name] (I’ve always thought this is a cute name, just think I’d like something a little more unusual?)
[name]Melina[/name] (hmm, kinda cute)
[name]Helena[/name] (I like the he-[name]LAY[/name]-na pronunciation, but…)
[name]Elodie[/name] (kinda cute, but hubby prefers [name]Melodie[/name] (not sure how to spell it), which I don’t care for)
[name]Eliana[/name] (Sooo pretty, but might be just a little too much, I don’t know… still one to consider)
[name]Serena[/name] (I think this could be a perfect compromise with hubby’s [name]Sara[/name], but he’s not sold - yet)
[name]Joy[/name] (this is on our list for a middle name)
[name]Celina[/name] (don’t think I’ve ever heard this one, but it’s really pretty)
So, favorites from your list, and ones we’d be most likely to agree on, would probably be: [name]Eliana[/name], [name]Serena[/name], [name]Melina[/name], [name]Cara[/name] (maybe), [name]Joy[/name] (as a middle) and [name]Caroline[/name] (as a middle).
Thanks so much for all your suggestions!
