[name_f]Marissa[/name_f], [name_f]Natalia[/name_f], & [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] are all names Americans would find easy to say [name_f]IMO[/name_f], as they’ve been used in the US for quite a while & people are familiar w/them. If you used the spelling [name_f]Juliana[/name_f], pronunciation should also be easy, but [name_f]Giuliana[/name_f] I think would cause at least some people pronunciation problems. [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] seems straightforward, but I could see people saying “Loo-SEE-uh,” “Loo-CHEE-uh,” or “LOO-see-uh” if they’re not familiar w/the Italian pronunciation of the name.
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] can have multiple pronunciations while [name_f]Giuliana[/name_f]/[name_f]Juliana[/name_f] can have multiple spellings, and [name_f]Marissa[/name_f] and [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] don’t have the same ‘Italian’ feel as [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] to me, so my choice would be [name_f]Natalia[/name_f].
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] is so light and beautiful and surprisingly underused! My gut tells me that anonomity won’t last for too much longer. If you love the name use it now! Also [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] and [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] sound perfect together
I like [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] and [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] together a lot, but I’m not a fan of the Italian pronunciation of [name_f]Lucia[/name_f].
Thank you so much for your suggestions and comments! I really appreciate them and they’re really helpful!
I love [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], but it will be mispronounced in [name_u]America[/name_u] as [name_f]Lu[/name_f]-see-a or Loosha.
[name_f]Marissa[/name_f] is not Italian, but [name_f]Marisa[/name_f] (mar-eesa-a) is.
I like [name_f]Giuliana[/name_f], but would probably go with [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] for simplicity’s sake so she won’t have to spell it all the time!
[name_f]Natalia[/name_f] and [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] are both pretty.
I think [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] & [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] & [name_f]Marisa[/name_f] or [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] & [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] sound the best. (I love [name_m]Rocco[/name_m]…[name_m]BRAVO[/name_m]!)
