Looking for old and rare names... maybe old english?

[name]Hi[/name], I am looking for a good long list of “old” names, maybe old english, that are not really heard of nowadays. Does that make sense? The important part is that they are not really used, but are in facts names. An example would be [name]Alaric[/name] or Pomeline. As many suggestions as you have are welcome.

Hmm. These male names are all from a list of given names c. 1450-1650.

Eskay - that is perfect? You do not happen to have a source for that do you?

eskay – i would like the source from where you got those names too!

Sure! I picked them out from here: http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~oel/givennames.html

There are female names listed as well, and it also includes variants and notes on things like when the name came into use and with who. Really interesting - enjoy!

This is an amazing article! Thanks so much for posting!
