Hello, i am looking for some suggestions for baby #4. We are not finding out the gender, so i am looking for both. Especially boy names since we struggle there.
We currently have [name_u]Brooke[/name_u] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] (17), [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] (17), and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] (3).
Not that it matters but [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] are both adopted. I don’t mind more religious based names, but am interested to see other options. We love the simplicity of the names, and aren’t really big nickname people unless it is something that we come up with ourselves. We also want a name that will fit them at any age. Nothing in the top 100 if at all possible and nothing trendy.
[name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_u]Kelly[/name_u], and i absolutely loved being in a school of 4000 (yes, big high school) and i was the only [name_u]Kelly[/name_u]. [name_m]Even[/name_m] to this day, i have only met a handful of Kelly’s and rarely work with someone of the same name. That is something that i am interested in as well.
Before it is asked, honor names have already been used. [name_f]My[/name_f] mother was [name_f]Olive[/name_f] and when i named [name_u]Brooke[/name_u], i changed it slightly to [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] after she repeatedly told me not to name my daughter after her. Lol. For boys the only honor name i would ever use is [name_u]Dean[/name_u] and i don’t know if i like it as a first name and DH doesn’t want to use any of his families names.
Names that can’t be used because of family members, etc: Tobais, [name_f]Emily[/name_f] (of any form), [name_u]Seth[/name_u] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Elodie[/name_f].
Names that we like to give an idea:
[name_u]Harlow[/name_u] Wren( our first choice, but is it too harsh with the others?)
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] (We love this name but can’t use it because of a close family member being named this.)
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] (I’ve been told repeatedly that this would be hard to pronounce at school and I feel like is becoming too popular)
[name_f]Paige[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] (I’ve seen these on multiple boards of good sister names for [name_u]Brooke[/name_u], I just don’t know.)
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] (My choice, DH vetoed it)
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] (His choice, i feel like it’s too popular with sister Isabella)
[name_f]Odette[/name_f] (Too [name_u]Swan[/name_u] [name_f]Princess[/name_f]? Is it too harsh? When you are at a job interview would you want to be called Odette?)
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] (over powers the others?)
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] (too close to [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]? [name_m]Way[/name_m] too popular I think)
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] (again too popular)
[name_u]Lennox[/name_u] (DH choice)
[name_u]Griffin[/name_u] (too rising star?)
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u] (I know it’s a unisex, I just know more females with the name)
Any help would be amazing. Especially boys names. We figured we’ll figure out the first name first and then do the middle unless something just clicks. Thanks!
