[name_m]Hi[/name_m]. I am kind of new here and wanted to come over for some suggestions. I have a set of twins, boy and girl ([name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_u]Valentine[/name_u], who are now 6yo) and I am expecting another set of twins, both girls. We are trying to choose a cool pair of names without them being two pair-y (??), like with our older children. We have thought of:
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] / [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_u]Marion[/name_u].
What do you think? Any suggestions for middle names? Which pair do you like better? Or aren’t these good picks?
Out of that group I would choose [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], mostly because I don’t like the name [name_u]Marion[/name_u]. I do like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] though. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] are both good names for youngsters that age well.
I love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]! But I don’t love it paired with [name_u]Marion[/name_u]. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] are nice but not enough “oomph” for me and kind of dated to me…
[name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] are great names!
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]? Fits your longer, classic but still unexpected style you have going on
I like your names a lot. We definitely have similar name styles. Out of [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], and [name_u]Marion[/name_u], I don’t even know which I’d pick because I like them all. You could pair any and it would work. In the end, I’d probably use [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] because [name_f]Anna[/name_f] seems a little short and plain compared to [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]. [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] to me have a bit more heft and stand up to the longer names [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_u]Valentine[/name_u].
Other first name options:
[name_f]Melinda[/name_f]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]
[name_f]Milena[/name_f]
[name_f]Marisol[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Linnea[/name_f]
[name_f]Camilla[/name_f]
[name_u]Simone[/name_u]
[name_f]Sybil[/name_f]
With the names you have I like the following middles:
I agree with everyone else. I adore [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] but Not a fan of [name_u]Marion[/name_u].
What about:
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Agatha[/name_f]
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is totally beautiful, and [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] both very pretty but maybe too popular? [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] would sound good with:
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Serafina[/name_f]
Thank you to everyone for the suggestions. I am going through them and reading them to my DH. He is kind of picky and the one who actually chose [name_u]Marion[/name_u] (I don’t particularly like it, either). I’ll let you know what we choose!
I agree that your new daughters need names that can stand with [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] and I’m not sure that any of them do except for perhaps [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. Some other possibilities:
I adore [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] & [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]'s names. I’d choose names of similar length and style for the new twins…[name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] & [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] & [name_f]Lucrezia[/name_f] ([name_f]Gwen[/name_f] & [name_u]Luca[/name_u]), [name_f]Lourdes[/name_f] & [name_f]Raphaela[/name_f].
