Congrats on your adoption! From your list I really like Ellery and Elan. The only one I really don’t care for is Early-it just doesn’t seem like a name to me.
Ellery means island with elder trees, though, which is not a bad meaning, but not an amazing one. Same goes with Elan, which means tree.
Are you looking for boy and girl names or just one or the other?

Of your choices, I think [name]Elan[/name] is my favorite–it makes me think of “esprit and élan” just as the NB description mentions. (That said, it is a bit close to [name]Ellen[/name].) I like [name]Early[/name], too; seems bright, happy, and vivacious (though I imagine he might get ribbed a little extra when he’s late, haha). [name]Ellery[/name] and [name]Ever[/name] feel pretty trendy and trendily feminine to me, and I would personally associate Enver with Envy and [name]Ellard[/name] with other girl names and “lard.” I would suggest:
[name]Eamon[/name] - fortunate protector
[name]Eban[/name] or [name]Eben[/name] - rock, stone of help
[name]Eero[/name] - eternal ruler (related to [name]Eric[/name])
[name]Elm[/name] - a strong, sturdy, rooted nature name (since you like word name [name]Early[/name])
[name]Emrys[/name] - immortal one (has the softer sound of [name]Ellery[/name] and [name]Ever[/name], but is rooted in history and lore, decidedly masculine, and outside the Top 1000)
[name]Evander[/name] - good man (got some of the [name]Ever[/name] and Enver sounds)
[name]Ewan[/name]/[name]Euan[/name], [name]Evan[/name], [name]Eoin[/name] (prn [name]Owen[/name]) - born of the yew tree (evokes strength, health, longevity to me) or the [name]Lord[/name] is gracious
[name]Enzo[/name] - estate ruler
[name]Esmond[/name] - grateful protection
Everado (brave)
Enando (bold man)
[name]Eleazar[/name] (God has helped)
Eldrian (old wise ruler)
[name]Everard[/name] (brave like a boar [boars were symbolic of strength in old times])
I love [name]Edric[/name] (“blessed ruler”) for a boy, but have so many more for a girl:
[name]Edie[/name] (“blessed war”)
[name]Edita[/name]/[name]Editha[/name] (“blessed war”)
Eiola (“violet”)
Eilir (“butterfly”)
Eirlys (“snowdrop”)
[name]Eleri[/name] - I prefer it to [name]Ellery[/name], but that may be just me (“sufficient”)
Elatine (“happy, elated”)
[name]Elettra[/name] (“amber”)
[name]Elidi[/name] (“gift of the sun”)
[name]Eliska[/name] (“my God is an oath”)
[name]Elspeth[/name]/[name]Elspie[/name] (“my God is an oath”)
[name]Elowen[/name] (“elm tree”)
[name]Eluned[/name]/Elunet (“image, idol”)
[name]Elvira[/name] (“all true”)
Esteri (“star”)
Ethenia (“kernel, nut”)
[name]Eulalia[/name] (“to talk well”)
[name]Evelina[/name]/Ewelina (pronounced ev-uh-LEEN-uh - “desired”)
Eder (“handsome” in Basque & “flock” in Hebrew) and [name]Etain[/name] (“jealousy”) are also favourites. Good luck!
Ahh, so sorry, just noticed we are in boy name territory here - excuse my HUGE long list of girl names! [name]Hope[/name] my (two!) suggestions helped - good luck!
