I’m looking for something that sounds both powerful yet elegant.
Try looking at a map of any part of [name_f]England[/name_f] and see if any of the placenames jump out at you. I just randomly went to a map of the Banbury area (because Banbury would be a good surname) and came up with Twyford, [name_m]Milton[/name_m], Broughton, Middleton, Brackley, Warwick, Wroxton, Cherwell, Thenford…
I suggest placenames because I think they generally sound a bit posher than surnames based on trades or personal names.
