What do you think of [name]Lorcan[/name]?

This was actually on our very first list for our son because we liked the meaning, which I think was something like “little strong one” or something. But I think we nixed it because it sounded like a name that could be very unfortunate if our son turned out to be a bit of a nerd, which seemed likely given his parents. 
I really like [name]Lorcan[/name]! It’s been on my list for the last year or so. I always said that if I had boy twins it would be [name]Lorcan[/name] and Pogue (:
I’m not fond of [name]Lorcan[/name] at all. It feels to me there could be too many teasing opportunities.
It sounds like a predatory bird to me. Sorry.
I really like it and had it on my list for a while, but I eventually decided that it sounded too out there and very nerdy so it was crossed off. I don’t know why, maybe coz it reminds me of the word [name]Vulcan[/name]?!
But I was surprised to note that a neighbours [name]Christmas[/name] card was signed from “xx, xx & [name]Lorcan[/name]”…so apparently there’s a child in my street with the name that I didn’t even know about!
[name]One[/name] of the reasons I like it is because it’s a little nerdy. 
I like [name]Lorcan[/name]! It makes me think of [name]Federico[/name] [name]Garcia[/name] [name]Lorca[/name], who I love. But it’s more of a name-name than [name]Lorca[/name], obviously. I think [name]Larkin[/name] is also beautiful. Only reservation about [name]Lorcan[/name] is that it has a bit of a vampyric quality… No idea why I see that. [name]Ulric[/name] I also find vampyric… Maybe it’s something about the C?
To me, it sounds very similar to the following words: dork, orca (the killer whale), orphan. This could be bad.
On the other hand, the similarity to F. G. [name]Lorca[/name] is a strong plus, in my opinion. The meaning of [name]Lorcan[/name] is kind of cool, too.
If you love it even in its potential nerdiness, go for it!

I really like [name]Lorcan[/name] and I don’t find it that nerdy at all. I know the cutest little lad named [name]Lorcan[/name].
I think [name]Lorcan[/name] is kinda cute. The meaning is great which makes me like it more.
I like it, and don’t find it particularly nerdy (probably because I know a lovely, very cool guy named [name]Lorcan[/name]).
I like it. It is a good name, and I don’t see anything wrong with it at all.
We had it on our long list for another boy but have recently taken it off. It got very negative reviews whenever I asked anybody about it. I knew people by this name when I lived in [name]Ireland[/name] but I think it’s too hard to wear outside of [name]Ireland[/name].
I love the name [name_m]Lorcan[/name_m]. It’s a great boys name and I like it’s meaning ‘fierce little one’. It sounds strong and masculine.
