Love the name Lotus and Willow for a girl. However I don’t love how popular Willow has become so I’m unsure of it as a first name. Which one do you like better?

Lotus Willow
Willow Lotus
I prefer Willow to Lotus and if I had to use it, I prefer Lotus for a boy (maybe because it sounds like Otis?). It sounds too heavy and sluggish for me, generally, despite the pretty imagery. But I can see how others might love it!
Take or leave: I personally wouldn’t put the two names together: Lotus Willow to me sounds very descriptive (like a type of Willow) and Willow Lotus is a bit of a tongue twister with the repeat Lo sounds. Lotus Willow flows better or the two.
Some other names you might like: Lilac, Meadow, Indigo, Lavender, Primrose…
[name_f]Lotus[/name_f] is calm and lovely. [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is sparky and bright but it is popular. I think I like [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] best; [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] is okay, but the -low [name_f]Lo[/name_f]- sounds are a bit repetitive.
I probably wouldn’t pair these two as they’re both very obviously words? Would [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] be one you consider or [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Lotus[/name_f]?
I love a nature name
[name_f]Lotus[/name_f] feels soft, calming and unexpected with a little bit in faraway land feeling to the name.
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] shares that soft, peaceful feel however I think
she’s a bit stronger. Due to the strength factor of [name_f]Willow[/name_f] I prefer this name.
Personally I wouldn’t pair these two names together I agree with @EloiseT I think they are very descriptive and a bit much together. I like @Greyblue suggestion of [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] to take away that descriptive factor. I also wanted to suggest [name_m]Ren[/name_m]. [name_m]Ren[/name_m] is a Japanese name meaning ‘lotus’ and even though stereotypical used for boys my family have a family friend who is Japanese expecting her second child a girl in [name_f]April[/name_f] who will be named [name_m]Ren[/name_m] so I think it works as a unisex option. [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_m]Ren[/name_m] would be pretty.
I’m enchanted to see someone considered [name_f]Lotus[/name_f]! It’s a magical nature themed name! So beautiful and unique.
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] is also a gorgeous name. Sweet and romantic.
I’m not sure if I would combine both in the same name. It may be a little too much, unfortunately…
I love the suggestions of [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] and [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_m]Ren[/name_m]!
What about [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]?

Lotus is SO fun! I think she feels incredibly cool but not too out there, and the nickname Lottie is just adorable. Willow is also absolutely lovely, but I have to go for Lotus here, I’d be so excited to meet a little Lotus!
I agree with the previous posters, I think two word names are a bit too much together. I’d go for a more traditional middle name for Lotus. For example, Lotus Eliza, Lotus Delilah, Lotus Juliette, Lotus Helena, Lotus Eleanor, Lotus Camille, Lotus Freya, Lotus Annabel, Lotus Amelia etc.
